Rachael Taylor Spotted On Set Of A.K.A JESSICA JONES

On the first day of production in the Bronx, New York, just before the weekend, the star of Marvel's A.K.A Jessica Jones show, Krysten Ritter, was spotted as the titular superheroine in civilian clothes.. Yesterday, filming for the much-anticipated Netflix miniseries had continued, and the Daily Mail has now provided the first photos of Australian actress Rachael Taylor on set. Though she, too, is only sporting civvies, Taylor will be portraying Patricia "Patsy" Walker, who's described as Jessica Jones' sidekick, but may eventually become the superhero known as Hellcat from Marvel Comics.

After a tragic ending to her short-lived super hero stint, Jessica Jones is rebuilding her personal life and career as a detective who gets pulled into cases involving people with extraordinary abilities in New York City. Starring Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones), David Tennant (Kilgrave), with Mike Colter (Luke Cage), and Rachael Taylor (Patricia “Trish” Walker), and Carrie-Anne Moss, A.K.A Jessica Jones is produced by Marvel Television in association with ABC Studios for Netflix.

Unbuttoning her coat would take quite some time, but think it would be well worth it...or, just flip it from the bottom...

Superdickery. If you haven't looked it up, do yourself a favor. Superman in the Silver Age was nuts. This comic was inspired by (at least the title of) a foreign film at the time: I am Curious (Yellow).

Such a great choice to play opposite Jessica Jones. Since Carol isn't available, the pre-hero Walker is perfect. And Rachel Taylor is a good choice.

Perfect actress. I love the stark evolution of female comics from Patsy Walker to Jessica Jones. The Vapid shallow model to the introspective survivor detective

How much of that do you think we might get in the MCU? I know it's out of sequence, but maybe they'll throw the cancer scare in as a life-changing event for her? Or maybe she actually does die and is resurrected by Dr. Strange weirdness...

She's really not a character I know much about, but she seems to have been one of those tertiary characters that gets drastically different characterization/powers/stories depending on the creative team. I'm really hopeful they will actually do something interesting with her.

It's funny you're showing these books. I have several of these comics staring Pasty Walker to this day but many of my books (Golden and Silver) was passed down to me from my Grandfather and Uncle when I was 7. I've always wondered why they had these romance comics. I kept all my books but when reading Avengers as a kid then Defenders I was like, I know her..that's Hellcat!!!

I know, it's great, isn't it? :)

There was day when comics weren't wall-to-wall capes. And while I love superheroes, I'm fascinated by how the medium flirted with other genres (and tried to sustain them long past popularity).

That's one of the reasons I get so upset about the Jonah Hex movie. DC Western books are a really rich world to build on, if they had done a half decent job of it.

Speaking of westerns, I have a ton of them. Two-gun kid, Kid Colt, and a few other but as a kid I actually read them and there was some great stories. Jonah Hex movie was bad but even worst because I actually know the character before time travel and after. I also have bunch of All-Star westerns comics as well :-)

It's always good to know that you have someone that appreciates the classics.

I kind of like that the replacement for Carol Danvers in the plot is now Jessica's 'sidekick'. I [frick]ing love Jessica Jones.

I remember vaguely reading as a kid a Wonder Woman comic that had Nazi African tribe with spears with the Nazi symbol covering their private parts.....Very sad!

@jimoakley666

Common mistake.

Jessica Jones was originally created because Bendis couldn't get permission to do a dark MAX series about Jessica Drew. It's probably for the best, Jones is an interesting character in her own right liberated from the baggage of Drew.
