Evan Peters Comments On Returning As 'Quicksilver' In X-MEN: APOCALYPSE

Is American Horror Story alum Evan Peters still on board to reprise his X-Men: Days of Future Past role as Quicksilver in the much-anticipated X-Men: Apocalypse, or have plans fallen through? Check it out!

While the ever-growing cast of X-Men: Apocalypse has been filling out lately with several new faces, albeit familiar mutants, actor Evan Peters will be reprising his X-Men: Days of Future Past character as Peter Maximoff a.k.a. Quicksilver and supposedly in a much larger role. Although his return was revealed early on after being introduced and met with praise last year, the American Horror Story actor remained a bit tight-lipped when I Am Rogue recently asked if his speedster mutant will truly be appearing in the 2016 X-Men installment. "I think so, yes," replied Peters. "I assume it as well, but I don’t know what I’m supposed to say and not supposed to say." When asked if his scheduled has been worked for when filming kicks off, Evan Peters would only say, "No; we’ll see. I think...I don’t know what I can say and what I can’t say. All I can say is that I have not seen a script yet."

Directed by Bryan Singer, X-Men: Apocalypse stars Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), James McAvoy (Professor X), Michael Fassbender (Magneto), Nicholas Hoult (Beast), Alexandra Shipp (Storm), Sophie Turner (Jean Grey), with Tye Sheridan (Cyclops), with Kodi Smit-McPhee (Nightcrawler), Rose Byrne (Moira MacTaggert) and Oscar Isaac (Apocalypse). The movie opens on May 27, 2016.

I'm convinced if Wolverine's in Apocalypse, he'll be at the end getting his Adamantium.

It doesn't matter how [frick]ing OP you are, a speedster should literally have no issues with any ordinary villain. The Flash show, comics, etc. especially ask you to suspend the disbelief. Even the devices that stops Flash or Quicksilver are flawed. They should be able to see it coming a mile away.

So would people STFU about this now?

If he doesn't join the Brotherhood by the start of Apocalypse, he hopefully joins at the end. Or Magneto's arc comes full circle and creates Genosha, seeing from Apocalypse that war on humans won't solve society's problems with mutants... so he'll make his own paradise for mutantkind. He invites X-Men and Quicksilver joins in (and Scarlet Witch if she's in the movie). Wonder of they'll address him being Magneto's son beyond the reference in DOFP.

The cinemas went crazy with his scene.
DOFP was the best CBM last year followed by Winter Soldier.

@G3n3r4lzZoD9 er, no - Winter Soldier 1st, DOFP 2nd. But the Quicksilver scene in DOFP was the best SCENE in a CBM in 2014.

@Overlord

Nah, DOFP trumps Winter Soldier by far.

To this day, I don't understand the intense love TWS gets. It's definitely good and better than Iron Man 3 and Thor 2, but that's not saying much.

@Thewonderer

I agree TWS was awesome and in fact very amazing for a Marvel Studios movie. I personally found DOFP more appealing. What was interesting was TWS was actually grounded for being a Marvel Studios movie.

DOFP was also a great movie hands down. The story line was solid and the characters were actually solid as well.

Either way both movies could be number one.

@thewonderer "But for the most part, Captain America: The Winter Soldier is an unexpectedly grown-up thriller: taut, suspenseful, moody, and, on occasion, even sad" TWS wasn't expected to be any of those things...that's why it's applauded as amazing and one of the best CBMs ever. It changed the character of Cap cinematically

DOFP does not "trump" TWS. One does not simply do so.

Everyone on this site is going to be biased. So the typicals will always neglect a MS film as being the best last year. Same with the Fox haters. So its useless telling your opinion which film was better.

TWS was the best CBM last year ;)
