Viola Davis recently stopped by the Jimmy Kimmel Live! show where she talked a bit about her role as Amanda Waller in the highly-anticipated Suicide Squad. "She's supposed to be one of the main characters [or] villains," Davis told Kimmel, who said he was unfamiliar with the DC villain given he's a "Marvel Comics" guy. "I don't know how you would not know her." The How To Get Away with Murder star added that, "[Amanda Waller] is a bad-ass; Superman would quake in his tights."
Viola Davis then vouched that Suicide Squad director David Ayer is a physical filmmaker in the sense that he wants his actors to do their own stunts. "I have my battle wounds," said the two-time Oscar-nominated actress before raising her pinky finger. "If you get a closeup of it, there was a big flap of skin that came off. I can't tell you what I was doing to get this wound. Or else I would have to kill you, and I don't know hot to get away with murder, and I don't want to be featured on Snapped." Jimmy Kimmel then asked if it was dangerous shooting the DC Comic adaptation, to which Davis replied, "Are you trying to get information out of me? We're playing sociopaths!"
Directed by David Ayer from his script, Suicide Squad stars Will Smith (Deadshot), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flag), Jared Leto (the Joker), Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Jai Courtney (Boomerang),
Viola Davis (Amanda Waller), Cara Delevingne (Enchantress), Jessie Eisenberg (Lex Luthor), and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Killer Croc), with Raymond Olubawale (King Shark), Jay Hernandez, Ike Barinholtz, Jim Parrack, Adam Beach, and Scott Eastwood. The film releases on August 5, 2016!
