THE WINTER SOLDIER Composer Teases His Score For CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR

If you were a fan of the most unique track from Henry Jackman's Captain America: The Winter Soldier score, then you should get hyped for his Civil War score as the composer has just revealed a promising clue about what we should expect. Check it out after the jump!

It was announced pretty early on that Marvel and directors Joe & Anthony Russo will be re-teaming with Captain America: The Winter Soldier composer Henry Jackman for Captain America: Civil War. And while promoting the upcoming Pixels movie, which he also scored, Jackman had offered a clue to The Hollywood Reporter regarding what we should expect from his musical arrangement on the highly-anticipated threequel which will see Earth's Mightiest Heroes become divided next year.

There are no direct quotes from Henry Jackman, but the composer apparently told the trade source that we should listen to "The Winter Soldier" track from last year's Captain America sequel to get an idea of how the "industrial elements" of his Civil War score will sound. However, "he cautions it just a jumping off point since the Russos are looking for something new yet similar with a twist."

Directed by Anthony & Joe Russo from a screenplay by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely, Captain America: Civil War picks up where Avengers: Age of Ultron left off, as Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain. Starring Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Paul Bettany, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Chadwick Boseman, Emily VanCamp, Daniel Brühl, Frank Grillo, William Hurt, and Martin Freeman, Captain America: Civil War is set for release on May 6, 2016.

Ass, most scores sound the same to me or I just ignore them completely. There are only a few that are memorable to me, but the only time I listen to them are sometimes when I run.

One thing Marvel cannot even compete with DC on: film music.

Man of Steel's score was a freaking masterpiece. The Dark Knight Trilogy's music is some of the best ever.

Best soundtrack for comicbook movie would be probably "Th Dark Knight" and "Dark Knight Rises". X2 score was also good (but i would have to relisten it)

I really liked TWS score. I was sad they didn't use the "NINJA TRACKS" track that was used in the commercials

The Winter Soldier theme might be the true standout of the MCU. Marvel needs to up their game when it comes to scores. The Avengers one is pretty nice too.

Im glad they're keeping him aroud. Marvel really needs to keep the same composers around. CBM's these days lack an iconic or recognizable theme.

I don't remember ANY of the marvel scores
except that shot in the first avengers panning around them as a group

It sucks that they got rid of Cap's theme in TWS. I hope Bucky's theme remains in CW.

John Williams Superman theme will probably always be my favourite superhero theme. And I don't particularly like the Donner movies. I also love Elfman's work on the Burton Batman movies. Not feeling there's much -if anything- of the same calibre in recent superhero movies.

When I look at what I have on my [portable music player] I find Driving with the Top down, the Avengers theme, the Captain America theme, The Winter Soldier the entire Awesome Mix Vol.1 plus Groot Spores and The Ballad of the Nova Corps, about 4-5 tracks from First Class and the Man of Steel main theme.

Oh, and some of the tracks from TDKR - never felt the need to watch the movie a second time, but the music was great!

I'm not really into OSTs, however, CA:TWS's OST stuck out. That chilling intro to TWS's song is awesome. It gave me chills when I heard it at the post credit scene of Ant-Man.

Hans Zimmer's "Imagine the Fire" is one of the most complete compositions I have ever heard, period. Now, those saying Marvel Studios does not have good scores probably never spent any time listening to them in the first place. "The Flower", from The Incredible Hulk, "Earth to Asgard", from Thor, and "Rain Fire Upon Them", from Captain America: The First Avenger, are great tracks. Take the bias off your butthole and open your mind to new experiences.
