Bryan Cranston Wants To Play A "Nasty" Marvel Villain
Attention Marvel Studios, Sony and Fox, Breaking Bad and Godzilla's Bryan Cranston has revealed that he's keen on joining one of the many upcoming Marvel Comics adaptations in the development. However, he has three conditions which you can check out after the jump!
Rumors, fan suggestions, and missed opportunities have linked Bryan Cranston to quite a few comic book movie roles, from X-Men: First Class's Sebastian Shaw to Batman v Superman's Lex Luthor. And though it would seem that the Breaking Bad star doesn't have much interest in joining the ever-expanding superhero bandwagon, the actor recently declared otherwise... to a certain extent.
"You know what I'd like to do? I'd like to do some big superhero villain in some Marvel classic," Bryan Cranston told Metro at the London Film Festival premiere of his new movie Trumbo. However, the Godzilla actor then implies that he's not interested in playing a long-established bad guy. "Create one from scratch… I don’t know what I would do but it would be nasty," he added.
With so many Marvel movies in the works, there are numerous roles that Cranston could tackle. There's Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 2, Thor: Ragnarok, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, as well as the Spider-Man reboot, for which Cranston has persistently been fan-cast as Norman Osborne. However, given the actor's conditions of the villain being "nasty" and original or unknown, he just might fancy one of the Netflix shows if not one of Fox's upcoming Marvel entries including Gambit and Wolverine 3 as well as the inevitable Deadpool and X-Men sequels. What do YOU think?
