Chris Pine Is "Super Excited" To Join WONDER WOMAN
For the first time since he signed on as Steve Trevor, Star Trek star Chris Pine talks here about joining the much-anticipated Wonder Woman movie opposite Gal Gadot and also why he's excited to be a part of this particular DC Comics adaptation. Check it out after the jump!
It's been three months since Chris Pine reportedly signed on as Steve Trevor in the Wonder Woman movie, but now the actor has finally confirmed his casting and also revealed why he's excited to be joining the long-awaited DC Comics adaptation. The Star Trek Into Darkness star was speaking with French magazine Premiere.Fr, so the following translation is courtesy of Batman-News and Google.
"I do not really know what I'm allowed to tell you," he said. "I'm super excited, of course. Gal Gadot is super talented, Patty Jenkins will direct, and we will shoot in film." Pine added, "What excites me most is to work in a movie with a superhero woman. With a woman in the lead role. I am teamed with this intelligent, beautiful, strong woman to defeat the villains & save humanity."
Obviously, that translation is a bit rough, but it does seem to confirm that Wonder Woman will be shooting with film, as opposed to digital. Which is not too surprising given the first two installments of the DC Extended Universe, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad, were also filmed that way. Regardless, it's great to hear that Chris Pine is enthusiastic about playing the love interest to Gal Gadot's Amazon Princess. Directed by Patty Jenkins, Wonder Woman will soon begin principal photography with a release date that's scheduled for June 23, 2017. What do you think?
