Looks Like The CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR Trailer Is Coming Later Than We Thought
There were already projections that Disney and Marvel Studios would finally release the first official teaser trailer for Captain America: Civil War next week, but now we have something a bit more concrete that would suggest otherwise. Check it out after the jump!
Initial rumors had suggested that the first official trailer for Captain America: Civil War would debut next week with the release of the next James Bond movie Sceptre, but a new report suggests the teaser will come a bit later. According to the credible Collider, Disney is planning to showcase the first visuals from the 2016 Marvel threequel closer to Christmas by attaching the trailer to the highly-anticipated Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie, which hits theaters December 18, 2015.
Adding evidence to this claim, the site brings up the Twitter account that supposedly belongs to Civil War directors Joe And Anthony Russo, who recently posted two cryptic images on the social media site. It seems one of the images is actually from an old Star Wars poster, which could further prove that the teaser trailer will in fact debut with the next adventure in a galaxy far, far, away. Hopefully we have some official images before then, so be out the lookout. What do you think?
Directed by Anthony & Joe Russo from a screenplay by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely, Captain America: Civil War picks up where Avengers: Age of Ultron left off, as Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain. Starring Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Paul Bettany, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Chadwick Boseman, Emily VanCamp, Daniel Brühl, Frank Grillo, William Hurt, and Martin Freeman, Captain America: Civil War is set for release on May 6, 2016.
