Looks Like The CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR Trailer Is Coming Later Than We Thought

There were already projections that Disney and Marvel Studios would finally release the first official teaser trailer for Captain America: Civil War next week, but now we have something a bit more concrete that would suggest otherwise. Check it out after the jump!

Initial rumors had suggested that the first official trailer for Captain America: Civil War would debut next week with the release of the next James Bond movie Sceptre, but a new report suggests the teaser will come a bit later. According to the credible Collider, Disney is planning to showcase the first visuals from the 2016 Marvel threequel closer to Christmas by attaching the trailer to the highly-anticipated Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie, which hits theaters December 18, 2015.

Adding evidence to this claim, the site brings up the Twitter account that supposedly belongs to Civil War directors Joe And Anthony Russo, who recently posted two cryptic images on the social media site. It seems one of the images is actually from an old Star Wars poster, which could further prove that the teaser trailer will in fact debut with the next adventure in a galaxy far, far, away. Hopefully we have some official images before then, so be out the lookout. What do you think?

Directed by Anthony & Joe Russo from a screenplay by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely, Captain America: Civil War picks up where Avengers: Age of Ultron left off, as Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain. Starring Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Paul Bettany, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Chadwick Boseman, Emily VanCamp, Daniel Brühl, Frank Grillo, William Hurt, and Martin Freeman, Captain America: Civil War is set for release on May 6, 2016.

Can't wait.

I hope it doesn't take too much from the actual story of Civil War because I recently read that and wow... what a bowl of nothing that was.

Take some ideas and the main theme but ignore everything else they did and you'll be golden!

@JamesMann Haha yeah, so glad it's loosely based. Mark Millar is repugnant.

In other news, Spectre has had a bigger opening day in the UK than Skyfall and now has the biggest UK box office opening in history!

@Reasonnnn

I have no idea what they were thinking with it, the idea is great but the execution was mediocre at best. The fallout of what happens in that story is better than the actual story it's from.

I still would have liked to see this on screen but I think the younger Parker approach makes more sense for the stand alone films, and I want them to focus on Spidey's secret identity

That's my only gripe about the story choices, I feel like if they established the MCU a little more, especially with Spider-Man, the movies would have had more of an impact

For Ultron too, I feel like if Ultron came out in the next phase, it could have been better, especially if they could have included Pym

Can't wait for Civil War though

Yeah, can't wait for Civil War

But, it's still really upsetting that we may never see this on screen

@blackandyellow

I have a big interview coming up, I'm wondering what tie to go with, haha

I'm definitely straying away from skinny ties

@WakandasSoul

Same here, I think the younger Parker direction should work well for the solo movies though

@drkinsolving

Good call lol. Stay away from a paisley tie as well. Any solid color or 2 color striped tie will work. And make sure your knot doesn't look like Gusto's blown-out a**hole.

I told people. At first I thought it would've been with the Ant-Man Blu-Ray but eh, it's all good. Think about how many people are going to go see Star Wars. EVERYONE will be in there early to get seats and along with those early seats everyone will have an equal opportunity of seeing the trailers attached. One of those trailers will indeed be Civil War and along with that trailer many people will be talking about it once before the film begins and possibly even more once the film ends. Great marketing strategy.

heh.......cool. Soooo wait, can someone clarify, will it be released online the day of? Is that the idea, or is it more convenient for them to release it online a couple days early, so in other words will we get the trailer before november 7th.
