Elizabeth Olsen Says CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR Cast And Crew "Feel Like Master Class"

During a recent interview with Comic Book Resources, Elizabeth Olsen was asked what she likes about working on big-budget movies like Captain America: Civil War, in which she returns as Wanda Maximoff aka the Scarlet Witch. In response, the actress offered nothing but praise for her Marvel co-stars as well as the crew behind-the-scenes. "It's movie magic! she said. "You step on set, and you get to work with the best of the best. These people go and they end up working on something smaller in between a lot of times. You get to work with the best DPs, you get to work with the best camera operators. You get to work with the best stunt people. You get to work with the best costume designers. It's just cool because you're around so much talent."

Elizabeth Olsen continued, "It's also a whole other learning experience of how to perform in those kinds of films, because it is different. Many people say that it's the same preparation, it's the same character development, it's the same that kind of work, but on set, it's just different. It's just larger, it's not intimate, it's just different. To watch [Robert] Downey and [Chris] Hemsworth and Scarlett [Johansson], [Chris] Evans and [Mark] Ruffalo and watch how they deal with that and kind of absorb that information, I feel I get a little master class everyday." What do you think?

Directed by Anthony & Joe Russo from a screenplay by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely, Captain America: Civil War finds Steve Rogers leading the newly formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. But after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps—one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark’s surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability. Get ready to pick a side and join the nonstop action playing out on two fronts when Captain America: Civil War opens in U.S. theaters on May 6, 2016. The movie has an ensemble cast led by Chris Evans, and includes Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Paul Bettany, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Chadwick Boseman, Emily VanCamp, Daniel Brühl, Frank Grillo, with William Hurt, and Martin Freeman. What do you think?

I kinda wish Quicksilver was still alive, I think those two work better when they are both around.

Quicksilver was about the only superhero I was sort of okay with dying. As long as DC doesn't completely screw up The Flash, then the real speedster is going to be over there anyway, and it's not like I don't have plenty of experience reading Avengers comic books with Scarlet Witch but without Quicksilver. But don't kill anyone else Marvel.

Feelings so burnt out on Marvel. I need DC to come in strong with just a different tone and aesthetic. And the way they are talking about each project it seems like they want each one to feel a little bit different.

I trust and love the Russos and have been fans of theirs since they were working on community. Winter Solider is the best of the marvel movies. So I will check this out because I have that respect for them. But this one needs to wow me to bring me back in. I was pretty meh about the trailer. I just hope that Marvel lets the Russos do their thing. They are fantastic story tellers and I hope they are given the freedom to really express themselves.

To be clear - Im not a dc fanboy or anything like that, so Im not trying to fan the flame or anything. I have always just enjoyed DC characters a lot more and grew up with only them - except spiderman.

I think the costumes in BvS from what I've seen look great, but the costumes in Suicide Squad not so much, regardless though I don't know what DC will do going forward and Marvel already had lots and lots of examples of costumes I and looks that I like so give me the track record over my imaginary projections any and everyday.

@fettastic I think that's what makes it interesting. As the Russos said Cap has gone from company man to insurgent. I agree with you, it's weird to see him protecting an assasin, but he's done it in the comics from time to time; protect Bucky. It's an intriguing subversion of the Captain America character. Hopefully, it's good as you said. I have faith. Russos really surprised me with TWS. These guys came out of nowhere; from Community lol

@GliderMan that'd be very interesting; If she got inside his head. It'd make for a cool scene. I doubt he'd be cooperative haha. Understandable that Bucky doesn't like people getting in his head.
