As if you don’t know already know, next week will see the broadcast premiere of THE CW’s special DC Films Presents: Dawn of the Justice League which boasts new footage from Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad, as well as a “sneak peek” at the Wonder Woman movie. However, before we get those goodies, USA Today has revealed its own special sneak peek at the DC Extended Universe.

In addition to a new Suicide Squad still (above) which shows Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Katana (Karen Fukuhara), Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney), Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), and Rick Flag (Joel Kinnaman) with Deadshot (Will Smith), the newspaper has also revealed some intriguing new quotes from Dawn of Justice director Zack Snyder, who seemingly confirms we’ll see Justice League's Aquaman, Cyborg, and the Flash alongisdeThe Trinity in Batman v Superman.

“I love Batman and Superman and Wonder Woman, but having Flash and Aquaman and Cyborg and to see them all standing together, it’s a pretty dorky and cool experience for me,” said Zack Snyder of introducing those aforementioned leaguers in Batman v Superman. “Basically every one of those characters has a logo that you would recognize without them standing there, and that’s a hard thing to achieve in this pop-culture world. We have history to draw on, but we also have these new frontiers to forge.” The director/producer later reassured that Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad are only “the cornerstone of the beginning” and he also explained how the DC Extended Universe will set itself apart from the MCU and the other superhero franchises . “It’s our belief and our goal to honor the legacy of the studio with a batch of films that speaks to that world,” said Snyder, before adding that the DCEU will embrace Warner Bros' “pedigree of epicness.”

Furthermore, USA Today also spoke to Suicide Squad helmer David Ayer, who assures he understands the importance of doing these characters right. “For me, it’s a little more than just dropping a cut scene in the end credits to link projects,” he said, seemingly referring to the MCU. “You really have to be thinking three movies downrange and how today’s movie will impact more later-cycle projects.” About his installment to the DCEU, Ayer says, “We all need good guys and everything — yay, good guys — but at the end of the day, they’re kinda boring. They’re always going to do the right thing. When you’re dealing with the baddies, it’s easy to get ahead of the audience and invert expectations.” About Jared Leto, Ayer said, “He’s the king of Planet Joker.”

David Ayer also revealed that the days on which he filmed the Batman's scene(s) in Suicide Squad were some of his favorite. “We made him fight,” said David Aye of Ben Affleck. “He’s awesome (as Batman). ... You really sense that but for the grace of God he himself would be doing some really foul stuff out in the world.” Speaking of the Caped Crusader, USA Today also talked with Affleck about his appearance in the supervillain flick and how he's “bound by nondisclosure clauses a mile long.” He said, “It felt like I have such a cool cousin. This thing that is so awesome is somehow related to me, and that was really exciting because it started to feel like a constellation of things, and I’ve never had that feeling.” Make the jump to USA Today for more! What do you think?

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice opens on March 25, 2016 while Suicide Squad hits theaters August 5. And The Justice League Part One opens November 17, 2017, and Part Two June 4, 2019.

@Invictor

I am excited for this movie for so many reasons.

One big reason is I have always been a fan of The Dirty Dozen or Magnificent 7 and CBM so this is a dream come true.

I am so happy WB had the balls to do this movie.

I like the concept of the Dirty Dozen a lot, too. This movie has that element and also explores the different and darker parts of the cinematic universe.

So I am guessing this is after Slipknot and El Diablo both get killed since this looks like it might be later in the film.

@Batmaniac

Slipknot was dead man walking from the first shot of the cast. He looks exactly like Rick Flagg and nothing about him sets him apart from any of the other characters. After that I knew it would either be El Diablo or Katana who would be killed off and it looks like here it is El Diablo. The reason why I pick Katana to potentially get killed is because Harley Quinn has no chance to be killed in this movie and Enchantress has been to heavily featured in ads and talked up by Snyder and others. Will Smith is Will Smith, Boomerang is too popular of a character for the fans, and Killer Croc is the most visually different of the group to be killed so that leaves El Diablo to get the axe.

With all their hands on Rick... does that suggest he's the precious cargo in the film and not Enchantress like previously thought?

@Robby

They all want a piece of that Flagg.

I think Enchantress is going to be captured by the Joker and used for some plan. Like maybe he set everything up to get her on a team after him to get access to her.
