From the last set of pics of Chris Hemsworth, we saw that he surely could handle himself, alongside his brother, Liam. Well now check out a new pic, Chris posted on his Twitter.

DO you guys think Chris will rock the beard, for filming to begin on the 10th on January. I really hope Thor has some type of facial hair, which I'm sure he will, then there would be some scene of Natalie Portman's Jane Foster, giving Thor a little trim. They should just Leave the clean shaved face for CAPTAIN AMERICA.

no.
lol Just because he has a beard in this picture does not mean Thor will have one in the movie.

They haven't started shooting yet so there's still time for him to shave.

I wonder if they'll dye his hair blond or if he'll wear a wig?
MarkCassidy
MarkCassidy - 12/28/2009, 11:59 AM
True, but he's sporting it for something..and unless he will be shooting another movie before Thor, im betting its that. And its a good thing..at least while he's in Asgard.

I can take or leave the beard. Most of the time Thor doesn't have one. But once in a while he gets a little sporty.
This doesn't mean he will or won't, I've seen Hemsworth with and without as well.
I hope he doesn't, but it wouldn't bother me if he did.
Is that wishy washy enough for ya?
I was shooting for definitive and shot ya a definite maybe.

He better have freakin long hair though, or I'm gonna be mad as Hell.

why does he have to be sporting a beard for something? Can't a guy just grow a beard? This sounds a lot like the speculation that was stirred up when worthington had a cap T-shirt on...anyone remember how true that speculation turned out?

Just an observation.

@Durkin:
dude i cant grow a beard if my life depended on it!
and my 'stache can only be described as chin dirt. ;)

also Hemsworth looks like he did in A Perfect getaway.

Beard or no beard Chris is gonna make a great Thor!
The beard does make him look pretty tough!

I've been growing a beard since I was 14 but I'm
half Norwegian and most of the time Vikings are
shown with pretty good beards! I have a goatee/
Van Dyke thing goin' on! One of my female friends
says I look like a Viking Warrior with my shaved
head and dark-red beard!

Can't hardly wait for THOR!

They'll probably give him extensions and lighten his beard.

JoshWilding - 12/28/2009, 4:03 PM
That beard is pretty cool looking and a much better choice than some thick viking style beard!! Plus, it makes Hemsworth look pretty bad ass, lol! ;)

Guardian, actually the speculation that Worthington was wearing that t shirt to campaign for Cap turned out to be completely true!

After I played Ultimate Alliance, even though it was his Ultimate universe costume, I couldn't like his shaved face as much anymore. I didn't like the rest of his suit there though.

Bearded Thor wins.

"I know, the bloggers are going bananas, I'm a fan, man. I'm a big fan. And I've always said, if you're going to wear a shirt on a blog or the TV, wear something you're interested in. I'm not a billboard, so I'm going to wear something that I'm intrigued by. I'm a big Captain America fan."

Has anyone spoken to him about the role?

"No, no, they haven't talked to me,"

It's right from your article ror, he wasn't campaigning, he just likes Cap.

Anybody else annoyed by the 9 ad on every page? It's killing me.

Really? Because it's a little much. I mean I know cbm has to make money to keep this place afloat so I don't mind the adds, but the 9 one just goes up my spine for some reason, I think it's because it's litterally on every page, where as the video ads for that blue scarab comic thing used to be just on the front page...and once the ad was done playing it stopped where as the 9 one just continues on a loop.

I would like to know some other movies that Mr. Hemsworth is in. Only thing i've seen of him so far is Star Trek, any recommendations?
MisterFixit
MisterFixit - 12/29/2009, 5:51 AM
Grail@ you can try "a perfect getaway"with Milla Jovovich. It's a horror/thriller . I afraid is the biggest part on a movie he had until now.

the beard will make him look more vikingesque and tougher and like you said, set him more apart from caps.
slimybug
slimybug - 12/29/2009, 9:21 AM
Rorschach, you don't think that he's just sporting it because he likes it and wants to wear it for a while before he has to shave it off for filming?

I guess we'll see, but I really hope Thor doesn't have a beard. At least not for the whole movie.
MarkCassidy
MarkCassidy - 12/29/2009, 9:29 AM
Guardian, in the same article he says he would die to play Cap. So your telling me that with the upcoming movie he just chose, completely coincidentally, to wear a lovely new Cap t Shirt for his press conference? I don't think so. He may not see himself as a billboard, but that was to get noticed pure and simple.
