Costume Assistants Anna Seltzer & Adam Sabodish tweet about the wardrobe for Marvel's Thor.

I've picked up the strategy of searching the web for alternate sources for every person involved in Thor that I can find. The most common alternate source is, of course, Twitter. I am now following two costume assistants for the film, Anna Seltzer & Adam Sabodish.

Anna Seltzer just tweeted:

wish it wasn't so cold in the warehouse. i'm gonna wrap Thor's cape around me & nap behind the Asgardian wear. wake me up when we shoot thx.

The other Costume Assistant, Adam Sobodish, I sorta had a short Twitter Conversation with:

So this is great stuff to know. Thor will have a cape, at least in Asgard. Of course, why wouldn't he? And the costumes looks great itself. I think Marvel Studios has everything ready to start filming on January 10th, hmm 11 days. Can't wait.

Happy New Years Everybody

Great stuff Freshman.

Hopefully this means Thor's going to have a cape, which he should.

As long as Thor's costume resembles this, I'm good:

Of course he should have a cloak. The Vikings had cloaks and war helmets. Why the hell wouldn't the gods they believed in have them?

Hawksblueyes - 12/31/2009, 6:41 AM
This is great, I was worrieed they would go Ultimate crap. Awsome find.

Thats just one more, on a long list of things I disliked about The Ultimates. The Norse were a very violent people with extremely violent gods. What did the Ultimates do? They make Thor a peace loving hippie, that dresses and talks like he's a rock star.

lol @ Hawksblueyes & DDD: [begin sarcasm]let's not get radical, fellas.
Oh noes! You might just be "not understanding" that it will be a mix of Ultimate and Marvel U! You just watch that mister lol
As long as people think he's crazy that's all that really matters. Of course! [end sarcasm]

Personally I am going to save the demented gloating for the first actual picture.
Hawksblueyes
Hawksblueyes - 12/31/2009, 7:34 AM
Darth: LMAO..I was just refering to the costume (for now).
I understand its going to be a mix.

The one thing I did like about The Ultimites was the fact that people didn't believe him right off the bat. Because face, it no one would.

But for him to be a *%#%*_*&# flower child was insulting.
StephenStrange
StephenStrange - 12/31/2009, 7:53 AM
@ Hawksblue: Of course you do. We all do. Everyone does really, but that's just a condescending yet ludacrous bit that gets said around here in reference to people who don't like the Ultimates.

I agree with what you said.
Simonsonrules
Simonsonrules - 12/31/2009, 7:53 AM
Thanks for this post frosh. That's some serious dedication. Personally I've decided I don't care about the costume / cape issue anymore with the exception of the following details:

1) No f*ing ultimate hammer, or whatever that ridiculous thing is. To alter Kirby's hammer would be blasphemy.
2) No f*ing ultimate headlights.

While I think we can be confident about the designer's avoiding the second, I'm still a little bit concerned about the first. But only a little.

As far as "hippie" Thor, I don't mind my Norse Gods having a healthy appreciation for clean skies and seas, but I don't see them as members of Greenpeace. Norse Gods don't chain themselves to whaling boats.

Hawksblueyes
Hawksblueyes - 12/31/2009, 8:09 AM

BTW, Hawks@ I made one last little fancast over my
holiday vacation if ya want to check it out...I know I said I
probably wouldn't be able to do them anymore
but that will be for the new year. Its a HEROES FOR HIRE
fancast. I fit it in on my vacation.

Next will be that enormous casting!

jim: I doubt it, I can't think of one single thing a Norse God of Thunder would concern himself less with, than fitting in with society.

Wow, amazing article MarvelFreshman!!

Its great to hear that Thor's going to have a cape, lol! As I've said before, I'd like to see the costume currently used in the comic books seen in TYLER's picture above! :)

Another good article by the Freshman! Looking more classic! I'm getting excited! I want classic all the way, but I want everyone to think he is crazy. Thats the best combo to me.

I think there is no need for he to ever hug a tree at any point in the movie. Also that would be quite funny to watch!

OdinsBeard - 12/31/2009, 5:06 PM
Joshw24. yeah that costume would be awesome! for all we know it was designed with the movie in mind. im pretty sure the movie was on the slate at the time Thor was re-booted.
