With the release of Iron Man 2, and besides the Tv spot during the Superbowl on Feb. 7th, we can expect news to be slow until March & April, when Paramount promotes the film. But until then, check out these tweets from composer John Debney, and Director Jon Favreau, on the status of the editing process.

now this is my favorite part of just about any movie, i truly believe that a score can make or break ANY film. hopefully they amp it up a bit this time around cuz although enjoyable, the first score seemed a bit dull for Iron-Man.

What happened to Ramin Djawadi? He had a good score why replace him?

@ Rokrad, this is just a guess, there's not much information out on the scoring right now, but if you look at big movie franchises, they seem to go GENERALLY two different ways with scoring, either they'll have some big name composer do the first one and lay down all the important themes, then save money by getting a lesser composer to simply carry on those themes (Harry Potter, of the top of my head) OR they'll get a lesser known composer to create all the important themes for the first movie, then bring in a big name director for the sequels when they have a bigger budget to expand all the important themes in order to grow with the expanding movie plots (Pirates of the Caribbean for example)

Iron-Man 2 seems to be taking on the later, although Debney isn't THAT much bigger of a name, before Iron-Man, Djawadi was known mostly for TV scores, so in a very small way, it looks like Djwadi did all the hard work, laying down the themes, and now Debney's coming in to blow them up essentially

but don't quote me on that haha

I do hope Iron Man 2 has a more memorable score. The music in the first not being terrible but it wasn't all that memorable either.
