It's been almost four months since Marvel Studios released Robert Downey Jr's return as Tony Stark in the most anticipated home release of the year, Iron Man 2, which earned around $621,730,345 worldwide. The first one is slightly better, the rest is just a matter of opinion. Whats important to remember though, is that Iron-Man 2 couldn't have been better than it was on a story, acting and technical level. What more could you ask for really?

It expanded the universe as well as it could and remained balanced with improved action and effects. Maintained REAL character progression with the past characters, great dialog, good pacing, well done introductions for the new characters, smart plot, perfect progression of both Iron Man's and the marvel universe as a wholes cinematic story...

Its why you never hear anything specific in critiques, it, like the first film is just that well crafted.

Jarren Hunter@ great points. yeah i could never bring up specifics either, if any one asked me which one i liked better i say the second because i think war machine is sweet and justin hammer is fun to watch. other than that i say they're pretty much about the same quality-wise.

I liked this movie. The fight between Iron Man and War Machine (or Mark II, rather) was enjoyable to watch. However, I do think that went on longer than it needed to. If they would have cut it down some, then maybe the final battle would have been a little longer like it needed to be IMO. Overall, I think it did a good job introducing new characters, like Black Widow, without sacraficing good action and story. Can't wait to buy it on DVD.

this film was alright,i definetlty be buying this on blu-ray,i love the feature that shows you round a 360 degree model.

In addition sequelitis, another diagnoses could be that it suffered from what I call Batman and Robinits. This sickness is characterized by a lack of focus and way too many characters. This in return tends to increases the likelihood of incomplete development for the characters in the movie coupled with a potentially a weak story.

Lets see how they handle the Avengers... If they did an average job with a few supporting characters and one main character,lets see what they do with a group titanic ones.

But in regards to IM2 and The Avengers, Like a true nerd, there is no doubt that I will buy IM2 on Blue Ray with the special features. And going to the cinema to see the Avengers on the first opening night.

its not better than the first iron man,i agree the action scenes the race track & the final battle that involved everyone.

are better than the first film action scenes,but its the bits inbetween that can't touch the first movie.

when you put everything together iron is better.
