In the first official set images for Marc Webb's Spider-Man reboot courtesy of SuperHeroHype, which began filming early this week, we see Emma Stone in her 'Gwen Stacy' hair, dressed in black. And looking around, it seems everyone is dressed in black, and we also see a limo, police scattered, and weepy faces. One can only wonder whose funeral Gwen Stacy is attending. But could it be her father Captain George Stacy, player by Denis Leary? Check out the images below and what do you think?

Nice find DCMarvelFreshman.

I'm a huge Spider-Man fan. That's my number one hero of all. Absolutly loved the first two Spider-Man films. I really really wanted Raimi to come back and redeem himself after 3.

After saying all of that, this movie doesn't feel right. Something feels wrong. Maybe it's Sony rushing so soon to put this out.

Raimi's Spider-Man reinvented the comic book movie. What will Web's movie do??????

I've got no real complaints about these pics but I'm kinda sick if seeing funerals or gravesites in Spider-Man films. I know that quite a few people die in his life but, damn, we saw such sceens in all 3 of the past films, it just feels a bit redundant. Emma looks cool though.

Well this could go 2 ways. 1. It could be Uncle Bens funeral and captain Stacy has made the police escort her to the funeral because the city is corrupt with crazies or 2. It cold be her fathers funeral abd the only reason is because In one of the pictures she looks up which I'm thinking spiderman was swinging around. So that means NO ORIGIN YAY! Looking back to when they revealed things with the reboot I hated it even when the announced Andrew as spiderman but lookin at Emma as Gwen she looks like the character in a innocent cute way but i would rather prefer her as Mary Jane but either way I have faith that Marc Webb has a good story and movie coming along.

This is definitely capt. Stacy's funeral cuz if u look at the 3rd 6th and 7th
pics Gwen is with and is seen tlkin to a lady whic I believ will be her mother who appearebtly looks sad so that is just my belief for now. Also I don't believ e this Scene will be the beginning or middle more like the ending cuz I feel at the final scene captain Stacy will be killed by a villain maybe goblin will appear but spiderman will be framed or
not, I don't know it could go many ways but if the scenario I sed happens we might get an origin

I'm assuming they are filming the scenes that are the easiest first, with all the schedules and what not of actors and extras etc, that's probably why they are filming small stuff like this first. Or, he dies in the first couple minutes of the film lol.

it's not raining it's snowing there is no machine and in a movie
like this why would someone lookup, they would
look up because spiderman is swinging. They'll probably
edit spiderman scene into that but this is definitely the ending of the movie they are filming right now

Wow, she really does look perfect for this role. At first I thought this was most likely Uncle Ben's funeral but I'm glad that the heavy police presence makes it more likely to be Captain Stacy's. It's a pity that they'd kill him off so soon (although we might all be completely wrong with that guess) but we dont need the origin story all over again after all! :) Amazing find DCMF!
