Some days ago, the 13th on Monday to be exact,
CLATL received an email from (name removed), whose apparently working on Matthew Vaughn's
X-Men: First Class as filming progresses on Jekyll Island, in Georgia. In that email, the actor gave an update from the set, also detailing his role in the film.
"Today I had lunch, got fitted for my outfit, and then I found out that the role I’m playing is entirely different than what I auditioned for — it’s even BIGGER. I am the Ship Captain of a 1960’s submarine (during the Cuban missile crisis). I shoot my scene at night on Wednesday evening. It is cold and windy — sand is kicking up all over the place. And, my ship will be taking on lots of water during my scene. I will be shouting to my crew to keep the ship from sinking."
The source,
CLATL has removed the report, but of course nothing gets by us fanboys nowadays. Anyhow, filming for
X-Men: First Class on Jekyll Island wraps in a few days. And I
hear a plane crash was filmed as well, which could explain
those set images. Anyhow, the film is set to be released on June 3, 2011. What do you think?
