In a brief quote from the latest issue of VMAN Magazine, young actor Lucas Till, whose portraying Alex Summers aka Havok in Matthew Vaughn's X-Men: First Class prequel, speaks on the process and look for the role.

“The day after I arrived on location to shoot Battle: Los Angeles, I started a three-week boot camp. The first week consisted of getting my body physically and mentally ready for everything the marines would be doing in the weeks to come.

For X-Men: First Class, my routine is a lot different. Portraying Alex Summers, I want to look as athletic as his character is in the comics. My trainer, Ed Chow, is one of the nicest people on the face of the earth, which is deceiving, because he is damn good at what he does.”


Apparently, theres more from Till on the role in this VMAN magazine issue, which hits shelves February 10. And look for X-Men: First Class hitting theaters June 3.

i've given up with this film now,i pretty much gave up with this when it was confirmed the original five weren't going to be in it,i'm not liking how it looks or sounds,so f*ck this movie.

bring on thor,captain america & maybe the green lantern.

Wonder if he realises that Havok is supposed to be Cyclops' younger brother? They should try getting the continuity right before worrying about what he looks like! :P

it was clear from the start of this production that fox didn't give a f*ck about continuity.

they don't give f*ck about anything apart from if its gonna make them some money.

Havok is my 2nd favorite comic book character (first one is Cyclops), but he shouldn't be in X-Men First Class.

Still, it will be cool to see Havok in action and I seriously hope that FOX is not going to [frick] up Havok's character by making him Cyclops's father or some retarded bs like that.

I just don't understand why they didn't rebooot the xmen series and add the original five. It's an unecesary prequel. It might be well made and directed and shit but outside of the films it just won't make any [frick]ing sense.

Why does fox continue to rape my childhood favourites? Wasn't origins enough?

Hope this movie fails so Marvel can get the rights back. And from the info we have about this movie I think it will fail spectacularly. Even after barakapool and the adamantium bullets sh!t, this looks like it's going to be worse.

@mega He’s got to start somewhere in separating himself from Xavier’s “first class". I take that picture as Eric in a transitional state, wearing whatever the hell Xavier told him to, but breaking out his own helmet as he begins to rebel from X’s vision….

@Gunslinger: I agree totally but for some F’in reason I’m still interested because its X-Men. And, I’m pissed at myself for wanting to see if b/c I know it will only support Fox. Bootleg is probably the answer, eh?

the only way this film is going to bomb is if we fans boycott this film. do not pay to watch this film in theaters or buy the dvd, or rent the film at blockbuster. i am curious to watch it like most of you, that is what redbox is for, to rent movies you are curious to see but do not very sure you want to pay to see it. do not spend more than a dollar to watch this film.

Wow..It's a damn movie about fictional comic book super heroes. You guys act like Fox completely changed the biography of Lincoln or some shit. geez.

The casual comic fan isn't going to give a rats ass whether or not Havoc is Cyclops brother or dad, sister, mother... they only care about the coolness of the movie, special effects action etc.

SMH at thinking that you guys make up most of the worlds population to the point that you think boycotting the movie will have an affect on it's success.
