New Look At Emma Frost & Sebastian Shaw in X-Men: First Class!

The latest issue of Empire magazine features a new X-Men: First Class pic featuring January Jones as the White Queen 'Emma Frost' and Kevin Bacon as Sebastian Shaw. Check it out!

The folks over at Empire have release a new image from their latest magazine issue, for Matthew Vaughn's X-Men: First Class 60's prequel. Featuring actor Kevin Bacon as the Hellfire Club leader 'Sebastian Shaw', and the deadly White Queen, actress January Jones as his right-hand woman, Emma Frost. The two are in the Hall of Mirrors, which Bacon defined as "spectacular".

Aside from the cast, something we all can agree on, that Empire pointed out, is that this much criticized film has a "visual flair" that deviates from the X-Men trilogy. What do you think? Anyhow, inside this Empire issue are quotes from both Bacon & Jones, so either be sure to pick it up yourself; or stay tuned to CBM!

Still filming minor portions, X-Men: First Class is set for theaters June 3!

january jones aka emma frost is sexy & once i'd finished with her she would need xavier's wheel chair to get about.

i don't think x-men first class will be the worse x-men film but it will be the third worse.

it will take alot to be worse than x-men origins wolverine & x-men 3.

Shaw: You better believe it, sweetcheeks.

Frost: Wait! Which timelord are you?

Intruder@ Seriously? I think Shaw looks totally [frick]ing supersonically cool.

Kind of Bond meets the Rat Pack meets the Kennedys type look.

Much better than the faux georgian britches and stockings look from the comics that may him look like a homoerotic regency dandy on steroids.

Shaw: With this new time travel device from a completely different show altogether...we shall rule the world!!!

Frost: Well I guess it means we can sort out all that [frick]ed up continuity.

Shaw: (shrugs shoulders) Worked for star trek...

This guy looks nothing like Shaw! Hopefully when the ''X-men'' (the characters in this movie aren't the real x-men) are fighting him he will absorb their strength and become a little bigger and stronger looking.

She's hot but if she just plays Betty Draper like she did in Unknown, it's another disappointing detail.

Kes@

"Emma was a Teenager in Wolverine Origins but judging from the set pieces and vehicles in that movie....it was supoosed to be based in the 70's/80's or so.also it shows Hank Mccoy in Beast form when he clearly was Human in X-Men 1&2."

Beast could revert back to human form at the end of the movie. The girl in Wolverine Origins could easily be someone else - someone related to this Emma.

"No Cyclops,Jean and Iceman in First Class....FAIL."

Thats cos they are sticking to the Movie Universe continuity.

"Just the Rumor of Havok being Cyclop's father is a FAIL. Being Based in the 60's we can Assume HAVOK IS NOW Cyclop's OLDER Brother.FAIL."

It's just a RUMOUR! And as the saying goes 'to assume makes and 'ass' of 'u' and 'me'! ;o)

"So Much FAIL and the movie hasnt come out Yet"

Which makes your opinions - which you are fully entitled to express - completely invalid.

You cannot truly judge a film that is yet to be.

Well, I'm not an angry, spotty, overweight, virgin teenager like some people on here CLEARLY are, so I have no problem saying truthfully that I'm really looking forward to this film, I also absolutely love "X-Men Last Stand" and think "X-Men Origins Wolverine" is a brilliant film. If others dont agree with me - thats absolutely fine. As a slight aside - does anybody else think it's a bit ridiculous the way everyone keeps saying the words "Fail" or "Epic Fail" 37 times in every sentence? No? Just me then...

hehe

Kes@ "according to u...if they dressed Professor X in a CowBoy Hat and a Kilt or Wolverine's Claws had NailPolish on them and i say "FAIL"... my "FAIL" will be completely invalid because the Movie hasnt come out yet?"

Yep - totally agree with you. It's source material - and as such should be treated as SOURCE! As long as they stay true to the core ideals and major themes of what the X-men represent and it works for the story then by and large I am satisfied. I want my filmakers to get creative - to use their imaginations - to take chances and not get stuck in creative straitjackets. We allow that priviledge to comic book writers - why not film makers?

"Official Trailers and Photos are used to promote what a Movie has to offer....if those Suck, then we have EVERY right to assume the movie will SUCK...until we actually see it and are proven right or wrong."

Dude - you have given yourself WAY too much rope and hung yourself with that stupid statement.

You are ALWAYS entitled to your opinions AND it's cool that you can voice them. BUT they ARE invalid. The film doesn't even exist yet...so how can it be shit?

All you can really do is voice worries and reservations.

@Kes, I just need to ask, what exactly is lazy about setting this movie in the 60's and incorporating it into the Cuban Missile Crisis? You think setting a movie in a present day environment requires more effort?

Oh, and they have stated numerous times that Origins is not part of their continuity. They are treating like a one off and washing their hands of it. Everyone seems to have hated it so much, I don't see why that should be an issue.

Orphix and Tea already addressed the rest of your outbursts.

On a completely unrelated note, I can't wait for the XXX-Men movie to be created. Some nice classy 60's orgies!

On another side note, I totally get a feel of a Watchmen-esque type of tone from this movie. More adult oriented with dramatic flair compared to other CBM's on the horizon. Definitely not marketed as a "fun for the whole family" type flick.

For those who consider this a tween/emo/twilight movie, I'm aware how you feel, so do me a favor and save the comments.

@tea, I can't believe that they A) made a Rick Flair based porn and B) I completely missed it! In a perfect world, it would have actually starred Rick Flair. He is the epitome of a showman! Can you imagine what he could achieve in the porn world?

This is lunacy. Pyriel, did FOX execs come to your home and take your X-Men comics and light them on fire? If so, I truly apologize for your loss. However, if they did not, these statements are so far off base.

Do you think that people doing fresh interpretations of the Mona Lisa painting is wrong? What about people adapting Shakespeare literature into modern themes and present day settings? Because that would be a more accurate analogy. Expressing your take on a subject does not destroy the original. Your comic book stories will always be there, you are free to go back and read them at your leisure. These movies will also be available for those who wish to watch them. You are be no means being forced to.

Secondly, if you are suggesting that Tea should contribute more to the greater world outside of his home and family responsibilities, I really hope you are not implying that it includes fighting for proper comic book adaptions. You have an odd priority level in life my friend. But it is yours, so do what makes you happy.
