Actress Emma Stone, who portrays 'Gwen Stacy' in Sony's Marc Webb-directed reboot The Amazing Spider-Man, recently briefly chatted with E! Online praising her leading co-star Andrew Garfield, as well confirming filming coming to an end.

"We leave tomorrow for New York, we're doing exteriors in New York for a couple of weeks, so it'll be done in mid-May,' she continued before laughing, "So, yeah, it was only a six-month shoot."

"[Garfield] is so much fun, He's the coolest, the best. He's going to be amazing. I mean, he has to be—after all, it is called The Amazing Spider-Man."

The site further reports the actress "sweetly" reiterating she had to keep quiet when questioned of potential sequels, as well the fate of her character.

The Amazing Spider-Man focuses more on Peter Parker’s high school days and the development of his powers while navigating the troubles of a brainy geek in high school. And starring Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Denis Leary, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen, and Sally Field, the films swings into theaters July 3, 2012 in 3D!

For once I actually agree with grif saying the same retarded, but true thing every time. But Im looking forward to the movie's release, I hope it fails at the box office for all those STUPID changes(Including that ugly ass suit) and decisions they made. But looking forward to watching it.

@Spades, six months is a decent amount of time. Most shoots are only 3 or 4. Must have lots of special effects & post work to do since it's not coming out for a whole more year...

Who said, "Sequel"? Sequel ha, right, no offense, but there would be only two reasons to see this: If your looking for a laugh and then 2: If you're a fan, but you don't care, who's behind the mask. A squeal yeah right! Does Issac have green-eyes like that in real life?

We know she and her father will die! Their chracters, not themselves of course. Her in the 2nd one, even if it happens withc is a strech and then Captain Stacy. But isntead of dying by "Doc Ock", he'll probably die by: The Lizard.

Today I was logged in as "warfrost" some how. The site may have a virus, I dunno. When I turned my computer off I saw something called "dummy". But yeah, when the trailer comes out, you won't hear me changing my tune about Garfield unless he is obviously bringing something undeniable to the table that I can't front on.

Highly, unlikely.

I think "the spectacular spider man" would be a rad name for the sequel, but I wanna see electro as the villain. The fights could look so cool in 3d

Is it just me or did they finishing filming this really early? I'm not saying that's a bad thing but its going to be done filming a year before it comes out. I'm super excited for Captain America but they're still filming and it comes out in a couple of months. That worries me.

I hope they really up the ante with this series set up a great likable character with Gwen in the lst movie and then kill her like they did in the comics in the sequel. Maybe it's a little much to expect them to go there with this new franchise but a guy can hope. I would really like for Spider-Man this time around to...I don't know how else to say this but have some more balls than the 1st time around. Like c'mon having Mary Jane through out the series it became redundant to put her in danger it's not like anything was gonna happen but if we see Gwen die it would be a good change up. Maybe Spidey saves her from the Lizard in the 1st one or even better the girl doesn't have to be in peral in the frickin movie. But I would definitly her just like in the comics in the 2nd one.
