Courtesy of the folks at Marvel.com, a newly released television ad for Joe Johnston's much-anticipated Captain America: The First Avenger film has found it's way online. Featuring various snippets of new footage, including with the villainous 'Red Skull,' finally speaking, check out the greatest Tv spot below!


































Captain America: The First Avenger focuses on the early days of the Marvel Universe when Steve Rogers volunteers to participate in an experimental program that turns him into the Super Soldier known as Captain America. As Captain America, Rogers joins forces with Bucky Barnes and Peggy Carter to wage war on the evil HYDRA organization, led by the villainous Red Skull. Starring Chris Evans, Sebastian Stan, Tommy Lee Jones, Hayley Atwell, Samuel L. Jackson, Stanley Tucci and Hugo Weaving, the film releases July 22, 2011.

Yeah I vaguely remember that, sounded like Hugo Weaving affecting a slightly camp German accent:)

I'm sure Weaving will do a fine job, me being surprised that literally half a second of audio gave you chills is no reason to turn this into "Cap vs X-Men" under the assumption that it will somehow annoy me.

Good stuff. I dig the new snippets, in particular Steve-o leaping the fence and the "just a kid from Brooklyn" bit.

@RorMachine -- so far I've been more impressed with the footage we've been given so far than you have. I won't say it'll be the best CBM of the year (don't wanna jinx it lol) but I do have high hopes for it.

HOLY @#$%! This keeps getting better and better. Wish the Hydra uniforms at least had a tint of green though. Weaving gonna own the role of the Red Skull. You just know he's gonna show up in the Avengers. I dont see how he can't.

@puyguy I somewhat have respect for you now dude, lol... I used to honestly think before you just came to this site to get someone to argue with but damn your comment here stood out.

Captain America is the film I'm looking forward to the most this year because of the fact its a WW2 setting, and the color scheme they used fit perfect for the coldness they needed for WW2. That blue filter they used for the European setting, and then being totally different with the warm filter for the scenes in America. Gives you an idea of the the "feel" they wanted for the two countries. Awesome stuff...
