Silvestri really channeled his BTTF and that is nothing short of PERFECT!

You can really feel some great action sequences building and then continuing on!

The only thing Marvel has lacked in their movies so far is a great score, and scores can really make a good movie a great movie! If you walk out of a movie humming it's score, you know you just watched something you loved.

BTTF is one of if not my favorite score of all time, and I can hear some of it here. Just like in Forrest Gump, I could hear Silvestri's BTTF.

Awesome! Haters beware!

There is now nothing I am skeptical of in this movie!

this music is so perfect. i just read the novelization of this movie and i can just imagine how awesome it will be with this score. without telling any spoilers, the plot is basically the same as raiders of the lost ark and last crusade. it goes like this:
nazi mastermind finds powerful ancient relic and want to use it to win the war and conquer the world.
young, unassuming american has to stop him.
lots of swashbuckling action and adventure.
final confrontation between the protagonist and antagonist.
nazi falls victim to the awesome power of the relic.

now mix in captain america's origin and there's your movie. it was an exciting read. bet it will be an exciting watch as well. :)

*side note, ever since the casting of Evans, I never doubted this movie, from that point on I've known this will be the best CBM of all time.

God damn I've been waiting my whole life to see CAP treated with the respect he deserves, and I am finally getting to see it!

somehow feels like a throwback to the soundtracks of the older action movies like Indiana Jones. I like it.

Love this score. It feels like the 80's kid in me that went to see the BTTF and Predator films back in the day was reawakened by this score and reminded why I got into these genre films in the first place. If anybody is interested in another great 80's Silvestri score, they should check out Chuck Norris's Delta Force theme,it will make want to take on Hitler,Bin Laden and the Devil himself, all at the same time. I'm a DC fan at heart, but one of the few Marvel characters I followed going back to the 70's was Captain America. While I do try to support all CBM's,mostly I support DC with a bit more gusto.
Not so when it comes to Captain America.I hope this films rocks at the B.O. even if it faces a tough challenge from Harry Potter.Thank's Alan Silvestri for another great score.

Damn! Its now official; Captain America has the best music score out of all the other summer Comic Book Movies.

In fact, it just now won the award of best music score in a comic book movie ever; beating the classic John Willaims scores for Superman (and that is a hard movie score to top).

@gabe3096 hey, everyone's entitled to their opinion right? Anyway, I love this score! It's definately the best score out of all this summer's CBMs. Bravo Mr. Silvestri, Bravo!

Agreed this is a fantastic piece, i as a musician myself can take nothing from Syl, he nailed this. But Williams Superman theme is, well its .... errr
uhhhmmm
what is the word here, Iconic at its finest. i really hate it for the poor guy scoring man of steel, talk about being in a shadow.

Sounds very patriotic which is perfect for Cap.
I expected Thor's score to be LOTR-like but guess not.
But out of the big three Iron Man had the best especially with this piece:

wayyyyyyyyyyyyy better than Thor's.

But its not as impressive as a soundtrack from John Williams. Sorry.

No composer will ever deliver a fresh, sweeping epic like JW man.

i dunno if its because i watched back to the future way too many times but most of the time i hear music from alan silvestri, i just think of bttf. the part starting at 1:59 has some riffs in there that reminds me of bttf3 near the end when the delorean's on the track speeding across the track with the train pushing it to 88 miles. Of course I also hear a little predator also.

I like it. It sounds very.. fitting for the time the movie is supposed to take place. It'll be interesting to hear the rest of it.

It sounds fine the first part it did sound like epic action newsy but someone nailed it, It simewhat sounds like the Colbert Report music. But when you think of it the Colbert music is suppose to sound flag wavy so some simularities is understandable. I mean really Colber jumps out grabs a flag falls 100s of feet to plant it in theground etc.

I dunno the first part is fine, the rest that follows is a bit better

And yes thise trying to compare it to the John williams themes is a bit much. The cap music is fine but Williams probably has the top 5 slots of the most memorable movie themes of all time. Though thr Rocky theme could be up there somewhere inbetween. If you ask me the last 20 years of movie music has been rather meh at best. I can remember movie themes from movies I saw 3 decades ago but i would be VERY hard pressed to indentify music from movies I saw this year
