Getting even closer to it's much-anticipated release date, Paramount Pictures have released thirteen new stills from Marvel and Joe Johnston's Captain America: The First Avenger flick. With a few previously-seen in lower quality, and the majority new, check out the images below. And for a slight enlargement, click on them!



























Captain America: The First Avenger focuses on the early days of the Marvel Universe when Steve Rogers volunteers to participate in an experimental program that turns him into the Super Soldier known as Captain America. As Captain America, Rogers joins forces with Bucky Barnes and Peggy Carter to wage war on the evil HYDRA organization, led by the villainous Red Skull. Starring Chris Evans, Sebastian Stan, Tommy Lee Jones, Hayley Atwell, Samuel L. Jackson, Stanley Tucci and Hugo Weaving, the film releases July 22, 2011.

Yay! If only they were larger! But I have such high hopes for this movie! Though I'm pretty sure I'll be saying that about every Marvel movie.

The only miss is the super-car or whatever it is, could be better, but the rest are seriously awesome!

Yeah. I'm really pleased with how they've portrayed Bucky in this. A lot of people think that this is Marvel being unfaithful to the source material but that's not true. Bucky was retconned to be a darker character when Ed Brubaker started writing Cap.

I'm wondering what the reason will be for Bucky's suit, I remember way back they said there's a reason for it. All the other commandos wear the same types of clothing.

Anyone else notice that the wings on his helmet are the Howling Commandoes logo? It's on Bucky's arm and the wings surround the name and the retro poster.
