Vague Details From The Amazing Spider-Man's Teaser Trailer Revealed?

Being that a teaser trailer is pretty much guaranteed in the coming weeks for Sony and Marc Webb's reboot, The Amazing Spider-Man, it's no surprise a description has already hit.

While a teaser trailer for Marc Webb's much-anticipated 'Spider-Man' revision, The Amazing Spider-Man, will debut during next week's San Diego Comic-Con convention, a possible vague description has hit the net, via Movie Web. With the source supposedly being a "Comic-Con employee who got an early look," take it with a grain of salt as you read below.

"1. Trailer opens with Peter Parker [Andrew Garfield] being beaten by bullies, one of which is played by Chris Zylka.
2. Shots of Dr.Connors [Rhys Ifans] being injected by a greenish fluid in a lab.
3. Shot of Parker being bitten by a spider,in his own house in what appears to be an attic lab.
4. Shots of Gwen Stacy's face, Uncle Ben's face and Aunt May's face.
5. Shot of an alley with Ben [Martin Sheen] and Parker, then one of a dying Ben who utters 'With Greatest power must come greatest responsibility, never forget that.'
6. Shot of Parker putting on the costume, camera angle from his back. He turns and is now atop The Empire State Building.
7. Goes black for a few seconds, we hear some monstrous sounds and cut to Connors' lab where his foot transforms into a scaly one. Goes black and we hear roars.
8. Then we see a giant web with the title The Amazing Spider-Man. Coming Next Summer in 3d and Imax."

As mentioned above, with just a week til we see for ourselves, or at least a more credible description, take it with grain of salt. However, what do you think?

The Amazing Spider-Man focuses more on Peter Parker’s high school days and the development of his powers while navigating the troubles of a brainy geek in high school. And starring Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Denis Leary, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen, and Sally Field, the films swings into theaters July 3, 2012 in 3D!

The description for the shot of the foot transformation for the Lizard reminds me of Beast's in First Class. Interesting to find out that he gets bitten in his own home, great to hear that he has a lab setup there. I was hoping they would show off some swinging and action. I wonder if this is real...

If this is real, it is the most bland teaser trailer ever.

@Dynamo - He was bitten by a RADIOACTIVE spider. What could have irradiated the spider in Peter's home? Even in his attic lab, he wouldn't have had any radioactive isotopes, would he?

Hope it's good. Confused as to why he's getting bit in his attic? Whatever. Did that happen in the Ultimate series?

@Nemesys
Firstly, not even in Sam Raimi's movies was the Radioactive part used. Second, we don't know how the Spider even gets there. What if it sneaks into his bag-pack? What if he discovers it, not recognising the speices, takes it home to study and it escapes and bites him?

sounds good, looking forward to marc webbs version of spiderman and lets be honest spiederman needs some justice after that horendous ending in the raimi franchise, i wont even go into how bad the first were too but its obvious that the third was by far the worst movie ever made, except maybe trolls 2

@Dynamo - All definite possibilities, but the fact that it happens in his home is why that moment is being questioned. But you're right, there are many different ways it could be possible.

Only real issue I have here is with dying Uncle Ben who utters 'With Greatest power must come greatest responsibility, never forget that.'

Really? We couldn't think of anything better than rehashed crap from the first time? A line so epically over used it became a pop culture joke...and they think they should use it again in a reboot?

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939
Erm... how? It's still in a lab, right? With Batman, there's a sort of dramatic Mise en scene with his parents death in an alleyway. With the steam, the decay and lamp light, it portrays the fact that the City itself caused their deaths.

With Spider-Man it's different entirely, because it doesn't matter where he's bitten, as long as he's bitten. It's little more than a plot point. Sure you can argue that it plays up the characters scientific intrests when he's in a lab. But then, the fact that he has a lab in his own home, rather than getting bitten on a school trip doesn't betray that. Rather, it might enhance the effect.

So no, it's not the same as Bruce's parents being killed on a train. Instead, it's more like Bruce Wayne being trained by Ra's Al Ghul... oh wait.

Dude this sound amazing! That's kinda sweet that he's getting bit by the spider in his house. [frick] you haters! This going to be sick! So maybe the spider accidentaly gets some of Peter's chemicals all over itself and before it dies it gets onto Peter's hand and bites him or after Peter's trip to OsCorp, it "hitch hiked" on Peter's bag and it got onto him and bit him. Hmm..

I this is accurate, sounds too origin-oriented. I don´t see a point in going all over the origin again. Whatever issues you may have with the original one, to sell this to the GA you need something fresh.

@Dynamo
You bring up some valid points but in the 1939 comic, it didn't talk about the city's contribution to the deaths oh his parents. It just talked about how a mugger killed them.
