In the midst of this year's New York Comic Con, somewhat mew promotion for Sony and Marc Webb's much-anticipated reboot, The Amazing Spider-Man, could be expected. With that said, here are new promos for the movie, featuring Spidey doing what he Spidey does best; posing. But essentially providing a new look at the suit, check them out below.




The Amazing Spider-Man focuses more on Peter Parker’s high school days and the development of his powers while navigating the troubles of a brainy geek in high school. And starring Andrew Garfield (Peter Parker), Emma Stone (Gwen Stacy), Denis Leary (George Stacy), Rhys Ifans (Curt Conners), Martin Sheen (Ben Parker), and Sally Field (May Parker), the film hits July 3, 2012 in 3D!

First, and sheez, I still can't get excited about this movie. I am one of the biggest spider-man fans I can think of and I don't really care for this. The one preview and all the interviews we have had makes me think it is nothing like the real character.

Im hoping that this movie does SPIDERMAN JUSTICE. Sam Raimi did one horrific job. He did a great job on depicting the character of peter parker and he did a great job casting tobey maguire but it wasnt enough...

I honestly think some of you guys are making too big a deal out of the suit. Its not THAT bad. Could it be better, sure, but its not like its the absolute ugliest suit ever made.

You haven't even seen any footage of Spiderman in action in the suit yet (and you cant count that end shot of the first trailer because you cant see shit).

Why dont you reserve judgement until you at least see a clear shot of him in a trailer. Digital alterations, even on the suit, are going to be made.

The suit design itself isn't the problem, it's the color scheme. The yellow eyes are distracting and unnecessary, and the blue is more cerulean when a prussian or phthalo tone would look much better.

AND how the F*#@K could anyone say that this suit looks home made? If anything, they should have gone with a costume like Edge of time. Then uneven stiching, and non-rubber fabrics look completely realistic to something an actual college kid could make.

Well The New suit ROCKS! Why?: Because fans of the Tobey suit cant help that the new suit look better and deal with it by ranting on and on about dumb things about the new suit like. "Whining" it doesnt look as realistic as the Tobey suit, <- that is the dumbest thing I have hered next to, "Whinging hate" it looks gay, <- then Tobey looks gay, there are only little changes to the suit.

I would NEVER wear the Tobey suit in real life EVER! NO ONE WERES TIGHTS ANYMORE!

Those are some sick posters, man! The first pic, for some reason, kind of reminds of the Ben Reilly costume. Not the Scarlett Spider costume, the Ben Reilly costume. I still love this costume. Don't care what the haters say!

@thewolfx I'm sure, and I'm also sure that you will go see it when it comes out and like it. as of the suit its just a little modifide to look like something someone would wear and look more Modern, Sometimes things need to be changed when there put on the big screen. Aka Batman, Superman, Green Lantern, Captain America, X-Men on and on.

Looks good to me. But yeah, I really like how they did his costume in Spiderman Edge of Time. Love the uneven webbing.

for me the colors are a little too vibrant but i'm thinking thats more the promo art failing than the actual costume and movie as i thought it looked good in that small part we saw at the end of the trailer
