Iron Man 3 is probably the best script I've read in five years, which is so funny. I mean, things have come so full circle that a genre superhero movie can actually be the most artistic bit of writing I read. But I think The Avengers is something a lot of the fans are really looking forward to, so I'm excited about that. The third Iron Man to me is an opportunity to go back to the kind of storytelling and character exploration that made the first one good

Iron Man 3 is expected to begin principal photography early next year based in Wilmington, North Carolina. And With Don Cheadle and Gwyneth Paltrow reprising their roles respectively, the Shane Black-directed threequel releases May 3, 2013!

Marvel's The Avengers is the Super Hero team up of a lifetime, featuring iconic Marvel Super Heroes Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye and Black Widow. When an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security, Nick Fury, Director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. Spanning the globe, a daring recruitment effort begins. Starring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner with Samuel L. Jackson and Tom Hiddleston, directed by Joss Whedon, Marvel's The Avengers will be released May 4, 2012.

I hope he's right, Iron Man 2 was an immense disappointment for me. So far, it's the only one of the MCU films that I don't like, let alone love.

Well, I think RDJ is saying that because he's not the main character. Being as how RDJ tried to push or talk Whedon for Iron Man to be in the fore-front of the movie at the beginning.

The Avengers are gonna ROCK!!!!!!!!!!! Just wait and see.

Iron Man 2 was dreadful. Whiplash was a genius one minute and a cretin the next. There was no build up to a grand finale - just a cop-out, unimaginative three way fight between 3 poorly rendered CG 'characters'. YAWN. We deserve better than this.

Here it comes from CBM posters. Iron Man 2 is a bad movie even though it was a critical and financial success and better than most summer blockbusters.....

You can't make a comparison between iron man 3 and Avengers. Iron man 3 is about a single character, basically a character study, Avengers is an essemble movie. I honk that's what he is trying to say.

I assume RDJ is excluding The Avengers because big portions of the script were written as production was underway. And Shane Black clearly stated he wanted the script right, before going into production, unlike IM2.

Maybe he's bitter because he had to share the stage on the Avengers.

He's running typical fluff game. Its the best script hes read in five years and the film will be more like the best Iron Man film thus far. Yeah, we know.

He thinks it's better than Avengers. Interesting.

Of course he thinks its better then Avengers! Iron Man III will feature 10 minutes more screen time for him than Avengers will!

I just don't get all the hate for Iron Man 2. Was it perfect? No, it wasn't. Not to many movies (comic book or otherwise) are perfect. It was no where near the letdown that was Spider-Man 3 or X-Men United. The acting was great, the action scenes were well executed, and it tied in well with the upcoming Avengers Movie. A lot of people on here have complained that SHIELD was to heavily involved with the story. Correct me if I'm wrong but SHIELD plays a big part of Tony Starks life in the comic books, so why not in the movies. Also SHIELD played a huge part in THOR, but I guess that was ok with everyone. After watching THOR & CAPTAIN AMERICA Iron Man 2 seemed to be an even better movie than even I though it originally was. Like I said, I just don't get it.

I want the Foom and Mandarin. Only other option I would be on board with, would be maybe Madam Masque??? We shall see!

It's always interesting to watch a Robert Downey Jr. interview, because the person giving the interview is never sharp enough or aware enough to get that RDJ is never really taking the whole thing seriously.

Like, he's always looking for an opening to play around with what's being talked about about, but the interviewers are so straight-laced and trying to keep it question-centric that the opportunities are missed.

Then, of course, half of the questions are just mind-bogglingly retarded, and RDJ gets that.

I thoroughly enjoyed Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (the only Shane Black work I've ever seen), but I trust that he understands RDJ's strengths and will play off that nicely, if not entirely solid on the source material.

As for the best script written for Iron Man, yeah, Avengers doesn't count because that's an ensemble piece with other leading characters at the helm of the project as well.

Iron-Man is about the trials and growth of one character, Tony Stark, which is why it can be considered (if that's even true) the best of the Iron-Man films.

Also, IT'S A BOY!

f*ck the haters! RDJ is awesome!
