Following sightings of actor Robert Downey Jr. arriving to the Wilmington, NC set today, Comic Book, locals of the area, have scored minor details regarding the production of Iron Man 3. In addition to revealing that vehicles with "Miami Police Department" logos embellished on them were spotted being unloaded, CB adds:
"Those that did get a glimpse inside [the Cape Fear Club] reported seeing extras dressed in military uniforms and suits. The extras in suits were described as looking like Secret Service men." The site also claims that a source "involved with the production" reassured them that The Mandarin is "definitely" the villain. He said Mandarin had a set of twins that did most of his dirty work for him. Another source who had visited EUE/Screen Gems Studios told us that the sets they were building included Chinese storefronts."
Filming for Iron Man 3 will proceed for two months in different areas of Wilmington, North Carolina, before the production crew moves to China. One of those areas in NC is said to be the Wilmington International Airport.
UPDATE: The crew has been spotted filming at the Wilmington International Airport.
