Marvel Studios’ “Thor: The Dark World” continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvel’s “Thor” and “Marvel’s The Avengers,” Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos…but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.

Starring Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgård, Idris Elba, Christopher Eccleston, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Zachary Levi, Tadanobu Asano and Jaimie Alexander with Rene Russo & Anthony Hopkins as Odin, “Thor: The Dark World” is directed by Alan Taylor, produced by Kevin Feige, from a story by Don Payne (credit not final) and screenplay by Christopher Yost and Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely (credit not final) and is based on Marvel’s classic Super Hero Thor, who first appeared in the comic book “Journey into Mystery” #83 in August, 1962. “Thor: The Dark World” is presented by Marvel Studios. The executive producers are Louis D’Esposito, Alan Fine, Stan Lee, Victoria Alonso, Craig Kyle and Nigel Gostelow. The film releases November 8, 2013, and is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.

In addition to “Thor: The Dark World”, Marvel Studios will release a slate of films based on more iconic Marvel characters including “Iron Man 3” on May 3, 2013; “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” on April 4, 2014; “Marvel's The Avengers” sequel (title TBA) on May 1, 2015; and “Ant-Man” on November 6, 2015!

I definitely think this is the best Thor costume so far, hearkening back to the Jack Kirby design, with the high boot tops, apron front and the red and black detail on the cuffs.

Did you see how Malekith seems to have track points around his eyes? So, maybe they'll be quit different once VFX is done.

Im sorry to tell you guys, but those dots on Malekith's face are NOT for CGI! Theyre just gonna be on his face...lol Its how hes gonna look...

And those of you who are comparing his goblin look to the Green Goblin need to stop! Obviously in Thor's film it translates very well because its heavy on its mythology and there are gods and mosters in it, but in the first Spider-Man it wouldnt exactly fit, but mostly because of the storyline they went with!

If they were to show Goblin in the new Spidey movies it would obviously work since they have been going with the human and animal genetics type thing storyline.

BUT AGAIN, it wouldve looked odd as hell with Spidey fighting a Goblin in the first films since that movie didnt have the same tone to set the look.

Seriously, I'm a fan of comic books too but a lot of you overthink all the time and its so annoying! lol

That looks like the Red Gem to me as well, The Infinity Gauntlet (First appeared in Thor) has to come into play. Perhaps the gauntlets gems are spread into Lokis alliances in exchange for help
