must be gunning for some kind of record of the actor who has played the same character in the most movies, would this be his seventh outing? X1, X2, X3, Origins, First Class (cameo) The Wolverine...

Hugh Jackman has been very dedicated to this universe; he has appeared in every X-men based movie.

Even having a cameo role in XM:FC ---

@dcjohnny they do cowls in the Avengers universe. Someone somewhere has already decided that we will never see wolverine in a cowl so I don't think it's going to happen.

How is this movie even going to make any damned since? At the end of First Class Prof X earned his handicap spot and in X3 he was WALKING with Magneto to meet Jean grey not to mention the Emma frost nod in Origins. I like the idea of a subtle reboot with nods to the previous movies but dont tie them together. Singer started the series off lame (X2 was ok) but First class has a real chance at making the series go in the right direction and now the Singer has it again its going to go right back into the toilet.

@DarthStimpy-I would say DOFP is the perfect storyline to correct all the continuity problems since there are alternate timelines within the stor; however, it is FOX and you never know.

Might as well... He's been great as Wolverine despite the lackluster directing of Singer (so far), Ratner and Hood.

The director that has best captured Wolverine at the moment is Vaughn in my opinion... and that was only one line.

I'd say he goes right up there with RDJ, both are great actors willing to sacrifice time and effort for the fans, and having responsibility for Thier roles

Yea, this is the best move for fox, they can wipe out all continuity errors, bring Jean Grey and Cyclops back, possibly give us the original first class team. Who knows.

Amazing how they keep referencing him to as "The Wolverine" rather than "Logan". Without Wolverine in the title, this would be another bottom drawer movie.

He will return, he's the main character in every xmen film (except first class) and woo wrine was major in the days of future past. I kinda hope this film is a form of a reboot to the xmen series :P basically fixes what x3 [frick]ed up. I still prey one day to get Cyclops (hopefully James Marsden) Angel (Ben Foster) Beast Iceman Colossus Nightcrawler Rogue and Jean on the same team at the same time. No need for storm if it's Halle berry :P

Simple it's only a film. If it has a good story, acting and action then I'll forget that prof x died or wolverine is 6ft so get over it.

lets hope he is a supporting character this time.

The x-men universe needs to be expanded with better roles for the other mutants, so lets hope Singer and Fox have learned a few leasons after The Avengers.

"Also [frick] no to Cyclops being in this film. He wasn't even in the Days of Future Past storyline."

He also didn't die in the Pheonix Saga, nor was Wolverine the hero - these are not literal translations.

BRING BACK CYCLOPS!

watching the gifs from First Class posted in the first comments, we can tell James McAvoy was almost laughing while shooting the scene, lol.

Thats probably one of the reasons why they spent three hours shooting it :D
