Seemingly keeping Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 2 (2004) relevant as the only Spider-Man movie without a funeral scene, a new casting call has just surfaced for the second installment to director Marc Webb's Amazing 2014 sequel. Once again courtesy of On Location Vacations, under the working title London Calling, the call also reveals exact shooting dates and vaguely what scenes will entail.

Aww, man. They should save her death for the third film, really. The second film should give the audience the time to delve more into Peter's and Gwen's relationship--more development and chemistry between the two. Both Andrew and Emma really did hit it off really well with their great chemistry with one another, and to go more into their relationship and saving Gwen's death for the third film would be the best move for the franchise. Make the three films be a Gwen trilogy with Peter and her, and then the next three films with both Peter and MJ. But, oh, well. We'll just see how this'll turn out.

@TheRedHood- Marc Webb said in the commentary that the scene where he saves the kid, and when Spider-Man throws Gwen out of the window in the High School fight scene, were actully foreshadowing what might happen later on in next movies.

After this, 4 out of 5 Spider-man movies will have included a funeral scene. Jeez, Parker. Get your sh!t together.

Aww, crap. Now I got him all depressed.

This is a must to have when they do kill off Gwen:

They have to play off the emotions of this scene and the characters just right. And I mean like, "right-on-the-dead-spot-dot"-type right, you know? It's really a powerful, heart-wrenching, emotional moment in Spidey's life--So Sony, the director and the cast MUST get this right. Also, I hope they have Gobby killing off Gwen, and not another villain.

Nope, not buying it. I'm ok with Electro being the villain in this movie, but there's no way in hell he's gonna be the one to kill Gwen. Gwen's death is one of the defining elements of not only Spider-Man's character but the Green Goblin's as well. I mean for God's sake it's the source of Peter's Animosity for Norman. If she does die in this movie please, PLEASE let it be the Goblin that kills her.

@BIGBMH - LoL! Hey, give the guy a break, huh? Sh!t's been tough on him for the past 50+ years and the past four Spidey films.

;P

@ReillyParker - Every word you said there, dude--I agree with you, 150%. It is most definitely the defining moment of both Spidey and Goblin. It's what created that mutual hate that Spidey has towards Norman--and that's what made the two so iconic, so famous, with one another.

First trilogy for The Amazing Spider-Man: The Gwen Stacy trilogy.
Second trilogy for The Amazing Spider-Man: Bringing in and making Mary Jane as Peter's love interest.
Third trilogy for The Amazing Spider-Man: The Coming and Intro of the Sinister Six (I prefer the classic roster of the SS).

Of course, that is IF Sony can reach to making 3 or 4 The Amazing Spider-Man films.

I don't think this is for Gwen Stacy. I have a strong feeling Green Goblin will be saved for the third movie.

I actually think this has to do with Max Dillon becoming Electro. Maybe someone close to Max dies and he ends up blaming Spider-Man for not being able save him?

It's too early for Gwen's death.... Save her for the 3rd film. Flashbacks for 4th.

I'm thinking it could also be a flashback at the funeral of Peter's parents, since Marc said he wants to delve more into their story.

It's not Gwen. It can't be. The ONLY way she dies is if Goblin is involved. If Electro kills her, I'm done with this franchise.

BIGBMH - 12/15/2012, 1:11 AM
We've got Gwen Stacy and Norman Osborn set to come into play as a major threat. I highly doubt they would just let some other villain kill her off. Plus, come on. Electro? Nah. The only people other than Norman that I could imagine possibly killing Gwen are Doc Ock, Venom, and Harry given their significance. Even those are a stretch.

@TheAmazingSpidey63, Alright, I'll cut him some slack. Poor guy is getting replaced by someone who is apparently "Superior." That's gotta suck.

daftendirekt9 - 12/15/2012, 1:22 AM
It's way too early for Gwen to die, besides who going to kill her Electro? The film needs to get into their relationship more, and Peter's relation to Harry, and MJ.

PeterDarker121 - 12/15/2012, 1:35 AM
Gwen aint goin NOWHERE for now. If Webb had ELECTRO kill her instead of Gobby(in the SECOND movie no less), it would be the biggest fail of any CBM ever, and maybe one of the biggest fails in mankind's HISTORY.

This is either a flashback scene or SOMETHING, but it's not about Gwen's death.

mayo23 - 12/15/2012, 2:48 AM
Why is everyone assuming that if Gwen dies in this one that it'll be Electro that kills her? It could very well end with GG being revealed towards the end. I think Marc Webb, Sony and Marvel have enough sense.
Lindsey35
Lindsey35 - 12/15/2012, 5:24 AM
Well, if this is Gwen then we can surely count on Electron not being the only villain in the movie, 'cause Webb's smart enough to have Goblin kill her.
marvel72
marvel72 - 12/15/2012, 5:46 AM
should be the death of gwen stacy hopefully at the hands of the green goblin & not by electro.

Man, if Webb does pull off her death, this is looking to be a really awesome spidy movie. I love the Goblin.
Just please no stupid Power Ranger suit. I want Goblin to look scary!

If it is Gwen then I'm assuming it's towards the end. I'm almost positive green goblin will show up at the end to kill her, Norman is being introduce this movie so it just seems so likely if they wanna do that. Oh and they need MJ and Peter time

DukeAcureds - 12/15/2012, 6:32 AM
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
Of course it's Gwen! Don't be so deluded! Why would they have a funeral if anyone else died? It's not May. Its not Parker! It's not MJ!! It's Gwen!
They've pretty much just done a Talia, here. We know, now, that Gwendies in the sequel.
Way too soon. Would've been a whole lot better if the trilogy ended with Gwen's death.
They're just trying to be all Empire with this decision. But it is a whole different kind of downer to have the love interest die, when the Romance element is on an equal level with the superhero/ action element of the genre. This should've been the end of the trilogy.
Lindsey35
Lindsey35 - 12/15/2012, 6:44 AM
Like Spidy31 said, if she does die, have Goblin show up at the very end to kill her, then she and Pete will have plenty of screen time, along with MJ and Harry. I think its fine. PLUSS, it gives Goblin a reason to be the main villain in part three! Which will truly be awesome. Have Spider-Man hunting him and that awesome stuff. I see a bright future for this trilogy.
