Composer Brian Tyler Comments On IRON MAN 3

Implying that he's seen a near-finished cut of the anticipated Marvel threequel, which isn't too surprising considering his profession, composer Brian Tyler has briefly commented on Iron Man 3.

After tackling the scores of action tentpoles like The Expendables and Fast and the Furious movies, in addition to a number of big video game series, Brian Tyler was announced as composer of the anticipated Iron Man 3 last October. And while the Marvel threequel is in its final days of filming, Tyler recently commented on the actioner while implying that he's seen a rough cut.

“I am currently working on Iron Man 3 and Black Sky,” Brian Tyler told 8Dio amid a lengthy Q&A. “My favorite is almost always my most recent project. I am very excited about Iron Man 3. I think the movie is amazing and Shane is an incredible director.”

Marvel Studios’ “Iron Man 3” pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man? Starring Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, James Badge Dale with Jon Favreau and Ben Kingsley, “Iron Man 3” is directed by Shane Black from a screenplay by Drew Pearce & Shane Black and is based on Marvel’s iconic Super Hero Iron Man, who first appeared on the pages of “Tales of Suspense” (#39) in 1963 and had his solo comic book debut with “The Invincible Iron Man” (#1) in May of 1968. “Iron Man 3” is presented by Marvel Studios in association with Paramount Pictures & DMG Entertainment. Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige is producing & Jon Favreau, Louis D’Esposito, Stephen Broussard, Victoria Alonso, Alan Fine, Charles Newirth, Stan Lee & Dan Mintz are exec producers. The film hits May 3, 2013, & is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pict.

@dion, I could get behind master, or anything else off that album. Good call, almost every song title on that record fits. You might wanna market that bud. Or we could just get hammered and listen to Metallica when they were untouchable, and fun bags gotta throw a few pair of them in there

Ramin Djawadi gave the first movie the best score of his career and they never brought him back. What a shame.

I personally can't stand Brian Tyler's music.

@dancingmonkey08 Thanks for being honest, but there's no such thing as "pointless" on CBM anymore; considering some stuff we've covered before. But the point of the article is that this is the first we've heard from him about the project. AND that he thought the film was amazing...based on what he has seen.

@DCMarvelFreshman

Sorry I intended no offense to you, you are one of the best editors on this site, it just annoys me in general when an article like this is posted, Brian Tyler wasnt going to say the movie was shit, was he? lol
