This year’s annual Toy Fair has kicked-off in New York where Hasbro has offered a preview of its many upcoming toy lines including those for Iron Man 3 and, for the first time, Thor: The Dark World. Providing somewhat of a new look at Tom Hiddleston’s God of Mischief, images courtesy of @Da7e, Stitch Kingdom and ToyArk have revealed figures for the titular hero & Dark Elves.

Marvel Studios’ “Thor: The Dark World” continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvel’s “Thor” and “Marvel’s The Avengers,” Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos…but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all. Starring Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgård, Idris Elba, Christopher Eccleston, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Zachary Levi, Tadanobu Asano and Jaimie Alexander with Rene Russo & Anthony Hopkins as Odin, “Thor: The Dark World” is directed by Alan Taylor, produced by Kevin Feige, from a story by Don Payne (credit not final) and screenplay by Christopher Yost and Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely (credit not final) and is based on Marvel’s classic Super Hero Thor, who first appeared in the comic book “Journey into Mystery” #83 in August, 1962. “Thor: The Dark World” is presented by Marvel Studios. The executive producers are Louis D’Esposito, Alan Fine, Stan Lee, Victoria Alonso, Craig Kyle and Nigel Gostelow. The film releases November 8, 2013, and is distributed by Walt Disney Studios.

Toy Fair is this weekend, where the toy companies show what they're putting out the rest of the year.

And the title is misleading. I thought it meant they were in stores already!

Those complaining about there not being any trailer I think should be reminded the movie comes out in [frick]ing November! and the earliest your going to see a trailer is in April(in the UK) with Iron Man 3 coz you know its Marvels biggest franchise outside of the Avengers its called marketing. So you not stop moaning.

This can't be Thor, he's wearing a helmet.

They put out a Thor figure with the Avengers line wearing a helmet, and he wore it considerably less in that movie than in Thor. BUT...I bet he wears it for a scene or two in this.

"He didn't wear it at all in Avengers."

Yes, not at all is considerably less than for a moment. I was exagerating.

Why do they always put helmets on the toys but never wears it in the movies? I don't care if he wears it or not (cool if he does), but seriously why?

MCU Thor wearing his ICONIC helmet in THOR: THE DARK WORLD? I doubt it.

One of the Thors looks like it's based of his appearance in Ultimate Spider-Man or the upcoming Avengers Assemble.

Same here...hopefully wave 2 then! Wouldn't mind an Odin, a Jane, even Erik Selvig, but Kurse is the only one I really expect to get.
CorronZenith30
CorronZenith30 - 2/9/2013, 1:37 PM
So, is this merchandise merly teasing once more or are we actually gonna see Thor with his helmet on during battle this time?
Hellsing
Hellsing - 2/9/2013, 1:42 PM
Yes you will see thor wear the helmet whilst he's sleeping, having a shit, having a three way with Sif and Jane.

and yes Loki's top priority is to get hair cut because you know he wasn't busy trying to take over the [frick]ing world and its especially a priority when he's most likely going to be imprisoned.
Hellsing
Hellsing - 2/9/2013, 1:44 PM
And seeing all the gold on Thors armor I'm guessing he's been promoted or some shit, I think I read some where now he's a full fledged general or the most likely reason is that these asgardian bastards have not been hit by the double dip (or is it triple now) recession. [frick]ing Asgardians.
TheTaskmaster
TheTaskmaster - 2/9/2013, 1:46 PM
If I remember correctly none of the art work/promotional art for 'Thor' and 'The Avengers' had Thor wearing his helmet (aside from 1 movie poster). Maybe this is a sign he actually will wear it a lot this time around.
ruadh
ruadh - 2/9/2013, 1:46 PM
And since this movie takes place AFTER Avengers, it kinda makes sense that his hair is longer. I think I read that's how hair works.
