“The Mandarin is the sinister head of the terrorist organization known as The Ten Rings, from which all the acts of extreme terrorism plaguing the world appear to emanate. Although he is reclusive, Mandarin wields great power and makes his presence known by striking fear in the government and the populace through his brazen plans of attack.”

Marvel Studios’ “Iron Man 3” pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man? They can't make this guy another Whiplash, where the foreign villain only talks a little bit and only appears in a few scenes and gets killed.

SANDVICH! I'M COMING FOR YOU!!! YOU'LLLLL NEVARRRRR SEEE ME COMINGGGG, SANDVICH!

@Marauder, get used to it...i think it will be like that, and then maybe in iron man 5 or 6 a chinese mandarin will return, reincarnated in a new younger body thanks to extremis (oh look, just like in the comics!)
I wanted so bad a Fu Manchu mandarin, that would've been awesome, and it should be campy as hell, the contrast between a serious and modern Tony and a retoric and ancient Mandarin would have been so fun, but now, we got just an Osama Mandabin Laden :(
