Pre-CG Rhino Gets Teased In Scene Details & Photos From THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 Set

In addition to more photos from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 set, a brief description of scene filmed today involves Peter Parker and what appears to be The Rhino. Check it out after the jump!

Just a few hours ago, the much-hyped Amazing Spider-Man sequel was shooting on Park avenue in New York City, where stars Andrew Garfield & Paul Giamatti were on-set. While earlier set photos gave an idea of what the scene entailed, an IMDB user claims to have watched the scene as it was filmed across the street from his job. Featuring Peter Parker (and his very own Mini-Me) costumed and Aleksei Sytsevich in what appears to be a pre-CGI construct of his animalistic alter-ego, the scene "involves the Rhino on a rampage and spidey jumps onto an NYPD squad car with a bullhorn and taunts the rhino by calling him a mechanized hippopotamus." What do you think?

In “The Amazing Spider-Man™ 2,” for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past. The film is directed by Marc Webb from a screenplay by Alex Kurtzman & Roberto Orci & Jeff Pinkner, with a previous draft by James Vanderbilt, and based on the Marvel Comic Book by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach are the producers. The latest chapter in the Spider-Man story is set for release in 3D on May 2, 2014.

Sounds like he'll be a mix between regular 616 Rhino and Ultimate Rhino. Good idea.

I can work with a mechanized Rhino.
Still would've rather have the original but I can see it being difficult to explain

Ultimate Rhino confirmed?

It's not Ultimate Rhino because that didn't have a human face to it. This seems to be a mix of the 616 and Ultimate Rhino. The only difference being instead of wearing a polymer suit like in the 616, he's wearing a mechanized suit, like the Ultimate universe.

Either way, it's nice to see that we'll be getting a mix of it.

I recently was reading the story of a guy who used a picture/pictures from Getty without paying and was now being harassed by lawyers for the copyright holder. This was on a forum somewhere, other users were not very optimistic for the guy's prospects. Hopefully this is nothing like that.

@DrDoom Power Users had nothing to do with it. As you can see, I linked to his article which has been deleted by the administrator.

@Khan You should post another article using pics from here, sans the ones I've included above. And I'll re-main it back to where your original articles was.

This is only its second film and the first sucked.

Also Khan, I think I may have used Getty for an article here about MJ's 50th birthday and I didn't get an email.

Lastly, shut up Doom. Ain't DCMF's style.

Yesss!!! This movie is going to be amazing!!! It will be the definitive Spider-Man movie, at least until The Amazing Spider-Man 3 comes out. I'm so glad to see that Rhino will be in the movie. This is definitely leading up to the Sinister Six. So far we have the Lizard, Electro, Rhino, and Green Goblin. Who will be the other two?(I'm assuming GG because Norman is in the movie. Maybe he'll suit up in this movie or in the third. Who knows?!) But honestly, this is Spider-Man right here!

I kind of want Venom in the Sinister Six.
