Through some Captain America: The Winter Soldier promo artwork and distanced set photos, we've had a good enough look at Cap's new suit to see that it's inspired by the Steve Rogers: Super Soldier miniseries. Indicating that we'll unsurprisingly see Rogers don another suit in the Marvel sequel, Joblo has got a hold of some spoilers detailing the uniform's surprising evolution, or devolution.

"This is Cap's S.H.I.E.L.D. uniform (obviously) but for circumstances unknown (either it getting destroyed or Cap hating it), at some point in the film, Steve breaks into the Smithsonian and steals back his 40's uniform. So for all of us that loved the Johnston suit, Captain America will be back in it by the end of the movie. Sort of takes the sting away from this lameness."

“Captain America: The Winter Soldier” picks up where “Marvel’s The Avengers” left off, as Steve Rogers struggles to embrace his role in the modern world and teams up with Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, to battle a powerful yet shadowy enemy in present-day Washington, D.C. Starring Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Cobie Smulders, Frank Grillo, Georges St-Pierre, Hayley Atwell, Toby Jones, Emily VanCamp and Maximiliano Hernández with Samuel L. Jackson and Robert Redford, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is directed by the team of Anthony and Joe Russo from a screenplay written by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely and is based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series, first published in 1941. Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige is producing the film. Executive producers on the project include Alan Fine, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Michael Grillo and Stan Lee. The creative production team on the film includes director of photography Trent Opaloch, production designer Peter Wenham, editors Jeffrey Ford, A.C.E. and Mary Jo Markey, A.C.E. and three time Oscar®-nominated costume designer Judianna Makovsky. “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is set for release on April 4, 2014. In addition to “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” Marvel Studios will release a slate of films based on other iconic Marvel characters including “Iron Man 3” on May 3, 2013; “Thor: The Dark World ” on November 8, 2013; “Guardians of the Galaxy” on August 1, 2014; “Marvel's The Avengers” sequel on May 1, 2015; and “Ant-Man” on November 6, 2015!

sorry i'm one of those guys who just assumes than an article is complete when he clicks on it, my bad.

Ah, the source is one of those "very reliable" ones.

Breaking into the Smithsonian doesn't sound all that Steve-ish. Why doesn't he just have Tony replicate the old one? Or Fury?

Guess we'll find out next year.

If this is true then amazing. I freaking loved his TFA uniform.

@nailbiter111

I missed it because it wasn't there when I first read the article.

And it actually isn't a well done article. "New info!" and then a quote. I see the source link, thanks, but who is the quote from? Even if you click the source, you don't know. So, grain of salt.

A lot of the people who post articles on CBM.com seem to take everything as gospel. "This person said this, so it's fact!" How about a little more skepticism in your nerd journalism?

If only Tony had money to employ people to fabricate something...

Sounds fantastic. I liked the Avengers suit, but the TFA one is definitely the best we've had on screen to date. Glad to see that it's coming back.

Jeez...of course it MAY be true, but you guys just love to believe everything you read huh?

I love that the source calls the Djurdjevic Super Soldier design lame. It's probably one of the best redesigns for Cap in 60 years.
Just because you have a 1940's mind, doesn't mean you need 1940's equipment.

But if its actually to jog Bucky's memory, could be kinda cool.

To me it just sounds like a fan coming up with a way for him to wear the costume that fan prefers.

Maybe Winter Soldier only recognises him after he dons the classic suit.

Yep, this is great news... lets hope Evans is as pumped for this one as he was in TFA!

The helmet looked goofy! - I'm glad they listened to criticism and decided it had to go. The 40's costume was great.

"Steve in this star spangled costume looks kinda familiar...but in this REALLY star spanged costume he looks REALLY familiar...i'll snap out of it now!"

"Maybe Winter Soldier only recognises him after he dons the classic suit."

You'd think that seeing Steve's face, someone he was close friends with since before even going to war, would be enough of a trigger.

@ruadh, cap broke into the phase two storage room in avengers

@jessepostal

He certainly did. He broke into something totally different, for completely different reasons. Clearly he's just a dirty thief.

Come on you guys, think for once rather than just accepting every little rumor you read on the internet as fact. It's just a fan who doesn't like the new costume coming up with a quick way for Steve to wear the old one. It's not in the movie.

Who is this unnamed source? The article writer's roommate? Come on.

I learnt my lesson after every other Iron Man 3 rumour proved to be wrong. Which led to so many of you being butthurt from the surprise.

I'm looking forward to Cap 2, and I dont need his old suit to make me happy, just give me more Steve, some Bucky, and some Batroc!!
TelaVizion

This is lame, cause suit from Cap 1 wasn't a "Cap'n A" suit. Damn this sucks

No matter what the case is, or specifics, whiny fanboys always freak out for no reason.

Not sure if I can trust this clearly biased "source".

If you want to be taken seriously post without bias instead of sounding like a butthurt fanboy over the new costume.

I love this spoiler!!! i very much hope it's legit....that sounds totally like the whole "doing what's right vs what authority figures say" that Steve stands for....man, this movie has such potential for greatness from early images and scoops. love it.

yuck keep him out of the suit, looks so much better without it or give him a uniform that's similar to what Blonsky wore in The Incredible Hulk

"Sort of takes the sting away from this lameness" makes this sound like bs as Ruadh says it sounds like a unhappy fan coming up with a way to put Captain America back in the suit they wanted.
