Why didn't they use these?

"Hopelessly derivative."

"It feels entirely made by committee - the definition of house style, without a personal stamp in sight."

"Familiarity trumps originality."

Only comic fans can actually be unhappy when a comic movie is perceived as well or doing good, and dance on its grave when it's tanking. There is no other genre that does this. Not fantasy, not sci-fi, just us.

I'm 46 and when I was young, it was easier to talk about comic related stuff with fellow fans,. Nowadays though, it's almost safer to discuss comic stuff with non-comic fans, as lots of fellow comic fans lose their damn minds.

@marvel72 1st of all, those aren't my words. 2nd of all, of course I wouldn't say those things about TDKR. Wouldn't make any sense. TDW and TDKR are polar opposites.

@marvel72

Precisely. No matter how good you think a movie is or how imposing the consensus is for saying that a movie is great, they're always someone, somewhere who will say that it's shit and vice versa. The internet just makes such things easier to find now.

@KlarksCent: the only marvel movie I want to take seriously now is the winter soldier. Thor and Iron Man were kind of a let down this year.
