MAN OF STEEL Costume Designer Talks Returning For Work On BATMAN VS SUPERMAN

While discussing his work on American Hustle, Man of Steel costume designer Michael Wilkinson talked with CineMovie TV about returning for the sequel, Batman Vs Superman. Apparently tasked with designing a new Batsuit for Ben Affleck and a look for Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman, Wilkinson reveals that he's also “tweaking” Henry Cavill's Superman suit which he designed for the original Zack Snyder-directed film. “We are now in the stage where we’re refining our designs with the last series of camera tests and doing our final tweaks in preparation for shooting,” he says. Michael Wilkinson adds that he pinches himself everyday coming to work on Batman Vs Superman because he feels “honored and tremendously excited to be involved with a project whose iconic characters will be seen for the next generation of filmmakers.” What do you think?

Starring Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Amy Adams, Diane Lane, and Laurence Fishburne, Batman Vs. Superman is scheduled to shoot in Detroit in February. Directed by Zack Snyder from a story by David S. Goyer and screenplay by Chris Terrio, the sequel is set for release July 17, 2015!

I would lose it if Superman donned his father's Kryptonian Armor to take on someone like Braniac or Doomsday! Lawwwwd!!! I can just feel the NERDGASMS from that one! :D

Had a feeling they were going to tweak Supes costume. Will probably make it look less alien and more traditional (sans red underwear, I hope!)

They should bring back the Fortress. The suit of the first film shouldn't be the only spare suit or something inside the ship. They could use it as a device to give him a variety of uniforms.

I really hated man of steel I'm trying to think How it could have been worse

Answer:using recycled Richard Pryor footage from superman 3 and adding a smart taking krypto who neck superman has to snap because he's always high

I really hope they don't change Superman's suit much, at least not noticeably. It makes zero sense for to somehow be able to hem a Kryptonian suit so any big change is going to be a huge continuity issue. DONT DO IT.

Red belt and more vibrant colors. I defended Snyder because I hoped he would brighten the suit in post, but in some scenes Cavill's suit just looked black.

I'm not asking for Reeve's eyesore of a blue, but keep his suit blue!
