Is Miles Teller In Final Talks For THE FANTASTIC FOUR?

Production on Josh Trank's reboot for Marvel's First Family may be in shambles, but the actor who's reportedly the top Mr. Fantastic contender implies he's still in the running or already has the part.

Last year's The Spectacular Now breakout star Miles Teller is currently receiving buzz for his starring role in the independent film Whiplash, which was picked up by Sony just days after premiering at the Sundance Film Festival this week. As the actor reportedly topped the shortlist for Reed Richards, aka Mr. Fantastic, in Fox's Fantastic Four reboot mid last year, the casting was immediately debunked by director Josh Trank before Teller confirmed himself being in early talks.

Considering we've yet to hear anything on The Fantastic Four since then, besides a later release date and the strong probability that Miles Teller's Awkward Moment co-star Michael B. Jordon will play Johnny Storm, aka the Human Torch, Punch Drunk Critics caught up with the aforementioned actor at Sundance and pressed him for an update. “Yeah, that should be coming up in the next few weeks,” he replied, when asked bluntly if we'll see him in the 2015 reboot of Marvel's First Family. Could this mean the casting has been finalized? Maybe. We'll find out, well, in a few weeks if the trades don't get the jump on the casting. Anyhow, the interviewer notes that Teller seemed very enthusiastic about the project, without going into specifics. What do you think?

With principal photography starting on March 31, The Fantastic Four will release on June 19, 2015.

How old is he? 18

This movie is doomed!

I think Michael B Jordan as human torch is the least of this movie's problems

^ That he does, guy on the left seems like a reasonably modest guy, one on the right just looks cocky. The quote supports the latter theory as well.

Before we start casting younger and blacker I would have liked to have seen a true version of the fantastic four I grew up watching first. Their 90's cartoon was amazing. Really captured what they were about. A family of explorers with super powers who happen to stumble into trouble and could always out think the bad guys they ran across. I was always so excited to see that show. *sigh....*

I really wish Marvel owned them and X-Men.

"This movie, along with Ant Man,will not get my money in 2015.[frick] those movies.Terrible casting all around."

Whatever. You'll be there opening week-end. If not, then you're going to watch the films one way or another. So stop the whole 'they will not get my money' nonsense.

Im still hoping for this to crash and burn so the rights revert. Marvel just needs the FF rights to really take the MCU places.

The F4 got their powers in their 20's didn't they?
If so, then this isn't terrible casting. He's a talented guy.

They're filming in March, so surely they must be done with casting by now! They're cutting it close securing actors this late.
