We’ve always known that Spider-Man’s most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead. It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp. Directed by Marc Webb, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is scheduled for release on May 2, 2014!

And no, I had no intention of being first. I choose when to, and when not to be first. Suck it.

Stop trying to be real. It's a fantasy. Make him look like the comics. That was the problem with that first Spider-Man movie and they admitted it.

That looks really good ! The most menacing version of the Goblin on screen yet ! Dane will knock this out of the park, I reckon !

Under the direction of, Marc Webb. Dane Dehaan could be his best yet. It's hard to stay accurate to the look of the comic book Goblin without looking ridiculous. This Goblin is a little bit more menacing than Goblin in the original Spider-Man and in the context of the story we're getting, Harry as Goblin makes sense and makes Gwen's death that much more personal. So glad Webb is coming back for thirds.

@EdgyOutsider: "It's hard to stay accurate to the look of the comic book Goblin without looking ridiculous."

This has been repeatedly proven false.

Must admit, looks much better up close, hopefully he continues to mutate over the course of the film. Still not too keen on the armour though.

@Luminus: If you're talking about this

Then yeah, it looks ridiculous

Like most of people on this thread, I hope he starts to mutate although I wouldn't mind this at all. Looks way better than the green goblin in the Spider-Man movie directed by spam raimi

his antennas look like goblin ears. isn't that cute?
Arrow96

He doesn't need to mutate, nor do I think he will mutate. This is perfect.

Nice to see you Grif!
We've all missed your "shitty" attitude.

Dafoe is my third favorite cbm villain behind the two jokers. He perfectly captured the insanity of Norman/Goblin the helmet sucked but I guess it was easier for the stuntman.
CherryBomb
CherryBomb - 3/26/2014, 6:12 AM
I like it.
Webb said he wanted it to look more like a disease.
& it definitely separates the look from the one in the original Spiderman films.

I don't know...he just looks like a crack addict...could have done a better job.
