UPDATE: More X-MEN Confirmed For APOCALYPSE + First Reactions To DAYS OF FUTURE PAST

As the first impressions of the first X-Men: Days of Future Past screening surface via Twitter, director Bryan Singer seemingly confirms young iterations of 3 more mutants in X-Men: Apocalypse

"My next goal is how did the X-Men come together?" Bryan Singer told SciFi Now of his direction for X-Men: Apocalypse, the 2016 follow-up to the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past. "That story hasn't been told yet, so [Days of Future Past] is the inbetweenquel," laughs Singer. "It's in between the birth of that relationship with Charles and Erik and the formation of the X-Men." So, does this mean Apocalypse is in the right time zone to revisist and recast iconic original characters Cyclops, Jean Grey and Storm? "Yeah, exactly," Singer confirms. "In a way, it feels like from this point forward we can do whatever we wants," says producer/screenwriter Simon Kinberg, "but we'll be moving forward with some of the actors from the First Class/Days of Future Past cast, so there's stuff we've done in these last couple of movies that we'll definitely continue doing for them, at least in Apocalypse, if not more movies going forward."  Meanwhile, the first press screening of X-Men: Days of Future Past was held tonight, and some lucky viewers have already taken to Twitter and, so far, praised the sequel. What do you think?

The ultimate X-Men ensemble fights a war for the survival of the species across two time periods in X-Men: Days of Future Past. The beloved characters from the original X-Men film trilogy join forces with their younger selves from X-Men: First Class, in an epic battle that must change the past to save our future. X-Men: Days of Future Past has wrapped filming, and stars Hugh Jackman, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Patrick Stewart, Michael Fassbender,, Ian McKellen, Nicholas Hoult, Omar Sy, Peter Dinklage, Halle Berry, Adan Canto, Fan Bingbing, Anna Paquin, Evan Peters, Daniel Cudmore, Ellen Page & Booboo Stewart. Bryan Singer directs the film in theaters May 23, 2014

Fox has upped their game with First Class and The Wolverine, IMO. I hope this is awesome. The complexity of the story is certainly the most ambitious we've seen in a CBM yet.

I'll tell you what though, people only agree with twitter reactions when they want the movie to be good. So I wouldn't be surprised if "certain" users try to ignore the praise it's about to get lol.

I have an incredibly strong feeling that the time travel business will create a new timeline, and Jean and Scott will show up at the end.

TASM 2 had very mixed reaction from the twitter-verse favoring to the negative side. That argument is invalid.

The movie will undoubtedly be good
Just one thing tho, the robots look like bad CGI. Anyone else see this?

yeah the 80's setting will introduce Jean, Scott, and Storm as teenagers. by using the decades' weird fashion choices they can design costumes with their classic color palettes and have it look practical and realistic. Storm will be introduced as African so she might end up being a pawn of their Egyptian villain. Kurt Vagner will be introduced as a small child but an expert dual swordsman like his father Azazel, Nightcrawler will by-and-far steal the show. Hank McCoy will undergo yet another transformation closer to the comics -- bigger, bulkier, and less human, but visually brilliant.

I honestly think it's just XO: Wolverine that's proper worthless. The Last Stand is by far the weakest of the rest, of course, but what did they even expect would happen when they try to overlap the Phoenix stuff with Whedon's "Gifted"? That movie is essentially exactly what was bound to happen. An awkward, disjointed exercise in having two story lines clumsily take turns developing.

Which I guess isn't high praise, but at least it means it's *up to something*, and has its brief moments that play well. It's further redeemed by having The Wolverine play on its story beats in a way that kinda legitimises them in retrospect.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine is just Hugh Jackman stuck in a low tier Jason Statham movie with an opening/credits sequence that is more compelling than the movie itself. It's the only one I skip when I re-watch them all, even though I have it.
