Suicide Squad wasn't the only 2016 movie featured in the latest issue of Empire magazine. Courtesy of Buzzhub, we've now been given a new look at Duncan Jones' Warcraft film, in the form of three low-resolution, scanned stills. The images feature Travis Fimmel's 'Anduin Lothar', Toby Kebbel's lead orc 'Durotan' and Robert Kazinsky's 'Orgrim Doomhammer' - as identified on Twitter by the movie's Lighting Technical Director Yonghow Vong. Check them out below...




Jones has been teasing the arrival of the movie's first trailer in November ever since it first played at SDCC in July - so keep your eyes peeled, as it should pop-up online in the next few weeks (my guess would be with Spectre next Friday...). For now though, what are your early impressions of Warcraft? Does it look like a must-watch summer blockbuster to you? Sound off below!

I still have faith in Duncan Jones. Moon was one of the best sci-fi movies I the last 10 years, along with District 9 and Children of Men.

As former WoW player... this looks terrible, costumes aside, the CGI looks so damn fake, it's not bad by any means, but still, this would probably gonna flop anyway.

Some of you guys say this looks like the game. To be more specific, this looks like the cinematics and commercials that get you to buy the game. These visuals used for the orcs in the movie look almost like Hulk's in The Avengers.

I think this is gonna flop.

It's a big budget video game movie.

I think Assassin's Creed may have a better chance since they likely won't have a large budget.

I don't know what they're talking about either, those images look awesome and the detail is spectacular, it looks photo realistic imo and I doubt it could get any better. I'm looking forward to this movie and as they already have a huge fan base I doubt very much it will fail.

I personally cant wait to see some humanised Orcs on screen, LotR did it ok but they where just grumpy evil Orcs, these guys are going have deep emotion and character and will be interesting to watch.

Now that's epic, so far what they show from the movie looks meh to me in comparison and I'm not saying the CGI in the cinematic looks better, I'm just saying it looks much more epic.

OMG! This looks FANTASTIC! Nope, never played the game. You know us old folks and those darn new fangled gadgets :) But, in 1980, my Big Brother/Lifelong Best Friend/Hero, Johnny, spotted the 25mm fantasy minis. He KNEW I'd love em and he was right! Even now, with him gone, I continue my collection. One thing EVERY company that makes them has in common? The look of the orcs. I love several of Jackson's Rings/Hobbit flicks, but his orcs never looked like orcs. These guys do! The casting is great (Travis Fimmel: Yes!) The costumes. Even the choice of composer! I just hope this doesn't suffer from the "Sword & Sorcery curse". For every success in the genre, there are multiple flops. And several of those flops (NOT "In the Name of the King": It was just laugh/vomit-inducing) have been good. If this has as good a script and direction as it has everything else, I sure hope it does well enough to spawn LOTS of sequels! WOW for WoW!!!
