Amber Heard Reportedly In Talks To Play 'Mera' In JUSTICE LEAGUE & AQUAMAN
Jason Momoa's 'Aquaman' may have just found his 'Mera'. According to a new report from Variety, Magic Mike XXL and 3 Days To Kill star Amber Heard is in talks for the role of Orin's flame-haired wife - and she could well first appear in Zack Snyder's Justice League!
It looks like Warner Bros have found their Queen of the Seas! According to a report from Variety, The Rum Diary and Drive Angry star Amber Heard is currently "in talks" to feature alongside Jason Momoa's Aquaman as 'Mera'. The site's sources claim that she'll first appear in Justice League (as previously rumored), before going on to star in James Wan's solo Aquaman feature in 2018.
Heard is a solid actress who's delivered a number of underrated supporting turns, not least in last year's Magic Mike XXL. Nothing seems set in stone at the moment, but if this casting were to go ahead, do you like the sound of it? As always, be sure to sound off with your thoughts below!
UPDATE: Did James Wan just confirm the casting himself? It seems so. The director just shared Variety's original article on his personal Facebook page. It looks like those negotiations went well...
Justice League, Part 1 hits theatres November 17, 2017.
