New The Amazing Spider-Man Trailer Heading Our Way?

It looks like we may be getting a new, shorter trailer for the upcoming Spider-Man is heading our way! Hit the jump for all the details...

According to the BBFC website (British Board of Film Classification) Sony will soon release a new trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man! The website lists the content of the next two theatrical trailers to be released and some of the upcoming TV spots after that. Take a look at the table yourself below!



Of course this is the British Film Classifiers, so the release dates and ratings are the British. But, notice that all the trailers are rated PG. Could we be seeing another PG Spidey film (the other being Spider-Man 2)? It wouldn't make much sense considering that Sony wants to take a 'darker', 'grittier' approach to the Web-Slinger.

Nevertheless, The Amazing Spider-Man is released on July 3rd 2012 and stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen, Sally Field and Denis Leary!

new Spider-Man movie will be PG-13. only the trailer will be PG thats all. none of the Spidy movies was PG they are PG-13. USA PG-13 is our 12A in the UK

Okay so I clicked on the link and it says that the entire movie is two hours and seventeen minutes long so this should be a long, amazing movie.

So, the problem I have here are the dates. Not familiar with this site, but are the dates listed the Release Dates of said trailers? If so, I'd be surprised to see that many different trailers and spots releases 6-7 months before the release of the film. I could be reading that wrong though

The trailer is PG, not the movie. It makes no sense to make a Spidey trailer with anything unsuitable for kids - the merchandise people, think of the merchandise

This movie will be an epic failure because:

1) Ema Stone is fugly, terrible Mary Jane.

2) After watching The Avengers battle other-worldly beings from other galaxies... seeing Spidey fight a man-sized lizard in Queens, NY isn't that exciting.

3)I already know how Spider-man becomes Spider-man thanks to Tobey MacGuire. The first hour and a half of the film will be redundant. Blah, Blah, a radioactive spider bites Peter Parker, he becomes sick for a day, then becomes Spider-man. I KNOW ALREADY !
