RUMOR: The Dark Knight Rises 6 Minute Prologue Description & Details on Bane

Today I have come across a new description of the 6-minute prologue and details on Bane. Grains of salt at the ready, but this has a chance of being legit...

Thanks to Shajib Rahman from the Official TDKR Community for the scoop! RamaScreen have reported that they recieved an email this morning containing insider information on The Dark Knight Rises. The source wishes to remain anonymous and claimed to have seen the six-minute prologue to the movie, showing infront of 70mm IMAX screenings of Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol.

The Bane info:

Nolan has significantly rewrote the story of Bane from the comics. He is raised by Ra’s al Ghul and his up bringing mirrors that of Bruce Wayne. It’s a mirror of Bruce, except it’s darker and twisted. Bane is trained to be an assassin for the League of Shadows. He kills political figures that are deemed unfit by the LOS. So he is a bit of a Che Guevara/ Jason Bourne type character. A revolutionary and an assassin. He comes to Gotham to start a revolution by revealing the cover up dealing with Harvey Dent and killing the Mayor, among other key political figures.

The prologue:

It is one of the assassinations ordered by Ra’s al Ghul. A mind blowing action sequence set aboard the Hercules plane, involving some innovative camera work ala Inception hallway fight scene. Bane and his mercenaries hijack a military plane transporting a dictator of a country which is in unrest (think Saddam Hussein type figure). He successfully kills the leader, but makes some mistakes along the way and is unable to safely land the plane. Because of the resulting injuries from the accident, he has to undergo complicated surgeries and that is how he winds up with that scar down his neck and the need for the mask to numb the pain.

Now, this actually seems to be legit. The other night this same prologue leaked on the SHH! forums and was then quickly deleted by the writer but that didn't stop fans quickly making a note of what the prologue was and spreading it over the internet. There is still a chance that the writer of the article had seen the prologue information and made the Bane part up. But the post on SHH! was quickly taken down and the description was only told to two select members via Private Message, so this leads me to believe that the writer is telling the truth.

I also believe that the prologue description is real because the Cardington shoot was very secretive and when Tom Hardy was spotted there he wasn't wearing Bane's mask and looked different.

Nailbiter111 Adds:
The reason this could be fictitious is that one of the early stunt reports said Nolan wanted to land a Hercules plane on a highway in Scotland, but that scene was supposed to involve Batman landing the plane. This description says nothing of Batman's involvement and I doubt there are more than one Hercules scene.

The Dark Knight Rises stars Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Tom Hardy, Gary Oldman, Anne Hathaway, Marion Cotillard, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Josh Pence and Morgan Freeman and is released July 20 2012!

as of right now, I don't care too much for that take on Bane. As post-production moves along and we get trailers, then finally the movie, maybe I'll change my mind and it'll be a different but good take on him.

I love this idea....it may deviate from the comics but for the most part I feel like Nolan's world is it's own entity separate from that and from the batman ported in previous bat flicks.

I think audiences will find this take more believable than a kid who grew up in a prison.

Honestly I think this sounds legit, and something like what Nolan would do... Plus it sounds pretty epic! :)

Sounds amazing. I'm totally on board with this. Now that the official pics - and soon to be trailers (and prologue) are coming out I'm genuinely getting mega excited for the end of the trilogy. The set pics really didn't do it for me - not that I expected them to really.

I wouldn't thought more of a marketing campaign would be going on by now though...

@Thewolfx I agree. Im looking forward to this movie, but coming from a actual fan of Batman, That will never be the real Bane I associate with comics. Comics are the source material, and if someone calls that lame or dumb then they are just showing that they are Nolan fans and not real Batman fans

Nope, Bane's injuries happen early on in his life. I can't prove this in any way, so dont believe it if you dont want to, but a good friend of mine was on the Jodhpur set in India and *SPOILERS*

He saw a young Bane rising out of the lazarus pit with josh pence

I remember a while back When they first started filming that there would be a scene with a huge plane, but everyone though the scene involved Batman instead of Bane.

I'm fine with Nolan taking liberties with the batman folklore as long as it makes an excellent movie(s) It's better than having the hollow/stylistic style of the old movies. I love the fact that we finally have an epic series of movies that will tie together so well. With a proper beginning, middle and most importantly - ending (hopefully it will blow us away)

If I need my classic batman fix I can always just go play arkham city...

And since people seem to be perpetuating rumors about the prologue, here's something a "legitimate source" told me, it's going to be the opening scene from Batman Begins played again, but with the dialogs re-dubbed so that it's a conversation between Bane and Talia, and instead of bats flying out from the well, it's the "venom" gas.

I am feeling pretty much about this film as I was with First Class. It will probably turn out to be a decent film, but crappy Batman adaptation. I will just have to throw out everything I know about Bane before watching and accept it for what it is.

Liam neeson neither looks, sounds or acts like Ra's al Ghul in the comics - yet batman begins was still immense. Kind of gets a bit tiresome people bashing bane all the time. At least he still has a mask and vest (of sorts) Shall we not just wait and see?

That wasn't aimed at anyone in particular - just a general one to all the negative comments

Some people are looking forward to certain CBM movies that are coming out and some aren't. Both are entitled to their opinions and this is a place for people to post their opinion whether positive or not. I have seen enough to know I am not looking forward to this film as much as I initially was. I have just as much right to express that as those who think it is going to epic and the cat's meow based on what they have seen. Different strokes for different folks.
