The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance - leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr Curt Connors (Ifans), his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

The Amazing Spider-Man stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Denis Leary, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen, and Sally Field; the film swings into theatres July 3rd.

Underwhelmed. This is James Horner? Parts of it sound like Elfman's score for Spiderman.

that music sucks, James Horner sucks

... Not sure I like this, and for me music is a good 25% of the movie for me...

I really like the beginning theme. Fits nicely with the tone of the movie. I am assuming they have not revealed the main theme yet. That is the theme I am most anxious about.

Not really feeling the score. Parts of it sound like it was made for a romantic comedy, not a summer blockbuster. The samples that do have an action-oriented tone sound similar to Danny Elfman's score.

It doesn't sound like something James Horner would compose....besides, it reminds me way more of Danny Elfman's score. And the instruments sound cheap and electronic......one might just believe this to be fake.

@Emanuel14- Dude, James Horner does not suck.

Interesting snippets. But I can't get a good feel for the overall score from this. A lot of it will make more sense in the context of the scenes they coincide with I'm sure. But I have faith in James Horner. His score from Braveheart is still my favorite score from any movie. I have no doubt that the full score of TAS will do the film justice.

i'ts fake, is poorly made and has nothing to do with the movie.

huh....I'm either in a theme park or a clever 90's spidey throwback.

I'm sure it will grow on me as The Avengers score did for me. Because this sucks. Seems like the mood of the film will not be what we expect. Could of mistaken this for Elfman.

But in all seriousness the dubstep was more fitting yes?

@Emanuel14- Say what you want about this Spider-Man soundtrack but the man who composed the music for Wrath Of Kahn, Aliens, Titanic and countless other movies does not suck. I'm sorry my friend, but your just plain wrong.

Holy crap! the first seconds of that first song sounds just like theme from Green Lantern: First Flight!

...also, Garfield is SOOOOOO HOT.

Hmm, kind of underwhelmed myself. Bits of it sound like the intro to Lois and Clark while other bits are reminiscent of Elfman.

Hahaha, I totally read that wrong. I think James Horner is pretty amazing. Too early perhaps to say too much about this score tho.

This sounds completely fake. Is this official in anyway?? For gods sake, the account is just some random user with the comment "yep" as the description. I'll wait for a legitimate source thank you.

I think from hearing that, the score sounds a little underwhelming but they were just parts of a whole and will probably sound so much better in a theatre with the images.
