The Aaron Sims Company, who have provided concept art for films such as Green Lantern and Wrath of the Titans have released more official conceptual art for Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man. These pieces of art include early designs for Spider-Man's new suit and the Lizard. Check out the concept art down below in one gallery.

The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance - leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr Curt Connors (Ifans), his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

The Amazing Spider-Man stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Denis Leary, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen, and Sally Field; the film swings into theatres NOW!

I'm really feeling the middle suit in the second picture of the three spider man suits. I think that would have looked different and awesome at the same time

@KalEl26

agreed,it looks so cool.

my guess is that the designers took Ben Reilly's costume and House of M as inspirations for the suit.

They should have went with with that first lizard look. It still has human qualities but has more of a lizard feel then the one they picked.

Something in the vein of that third pic of Lizard should have been the way to go.

Lizard fighting in the sewer pic proofs that they could have easily keep the lab coat on the whole movie without it looking stupid or something.

But noooo we want it to make REALISTIC. Dumbasses the guy is changing into humanoid Lizard whats realistic about that?:P

Wow... No wonder the costume in the movie sucked! Those designs are TERRIBLE! They had to pick the least ugly lol. I hope there were better concepts than those.

The concept art of Spidey and The Lizard fighting in the sewers reminds me of the comics.

Spider-Man's suit in the second picture looks awesome.

The first picture of The Lizard is how I wanted him to look in TASM.

i agree, something like the 3rd pic for Lizard wouldve been best. I get they wanted a human look to him but if thet played with that (a bit) they couldve found it.

I also think like you in that the coat couldve stayed. what realism, dudes a lizard-man?

coat shouldve been given more screen time, at least at the end.

i wouldve liked to not see the coat until the end where he was climbing the building.

how cool would that have been if cameras/news was filming this giant lizard-man climbing a building with a gun type thing and a lab coat?

Thank God they didn't choose any of these, I like the suit from the movie the best.
