The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance - leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr Curt Connors (Ifans), his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

The Amazing Spider-Man stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Denis Leary, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen, and Sally Field; the film is set to hit Blu-ray and DVD November 9th, 2012.

"Developing The Amazing Spider-Man Video Game " - Shameless! (lol!)

And the pre-viz sequences are going to be (i guess) storyboarded illustrations and 3dsMax illustrations for the set pieces.

Its hard to even guesstimate what any potential deleted scenes could do for the movie without having run-times listed.

I am also curious as to what the deleted scenes are. There were a lot of scenes from the trailers that didn't make it into the movie such as the Curt Conners quote,"Are you ready to play god." Some of the conversation from the dinner scene with Peter and Gwen Stacy's family was taken out, a scene of Peter yelling at the Lizard, as well as the Dr. Ratha quote, "Do you have any idea what you really are?" And I think there was more. Not to mention we didn't get the untold story, so I predict there's probably going to be a LOT of delete and alternate scenes.

I'm betting that "A Different Fate" is referring to Doctor Ratha's death in the original cut of the film (which I've seen stills of on here); it could be that the reason they cut out all those scenes and had to do reshoots was because these scenes contained references or or had some connection to Ratha's death. Who knows, it could completely change the tone or focus of the film!!! :o

i mean if someone takes all those deleted scenes and put them in the movie..it will be great..."The Untold Story" ended up being "the Exact Same Story" we saw in Raimi's first film

I'm starting to get damn tired of Sony, how big is the chance that sony may allow marvel to use Spidey in The Avengers 2?

@ImmortalVigilante

There is a discussion with the actor who played the guy who killed Uncle Ben on the SchmoesKnow podcast. I recommend listening to it, it's their TASM review show. But, the gist of that part was like this:

The actor spoke with Avi Arad about it. Avi told him they were finalizing negotiation to have it take place in the same universe and the Oscorp tower Easter Egg that was going to be in The Avengers but wasn't in there because they couldn't finish it in time was going to be the first step.

I actually found the similarities to be quite off-putting, I'm not a stickler for being comic accurate I prefer a good movie first and consider movies as separate from the comics. I wont go into obvious Spidey stuff like costumes or characters

TASM/Spidey '02
-Pining and taking photos of love interest
-Villain is pressured into experimenting on self
-Uncle Ben dies after big fight with Peter
-Spidey starts out wearing a red mask as his home made suit
-Citizens come to Spidey's rescue
-Saves kid(s) on a bridge
-First encounter with villain involves villain going after the suit(s) from work
-Villain deduces Spidey's id
-Spidey's powers kick in after falling asleep
-Get's into a fight because of his new powers
-Supporting characters father's funeral at the end
-Flash's first scene is bullying, second scene is shown up by Peter
-No reason given for suit color choices ( I would have liked one)
-Origin story

Batman Begins/Batman '89
-Villain dies
-I'm Batman line
-Gotham run by crime boss
-Batman is just starting out
-Love interest brought to the Batcave
