Megan Fox Laughs Off 'Wonder Woman' Rumors

Why she wold never play such a "Lame" character.

Actress Megan Fox has laughed off rumors she is to portray comic book heroine Wonder Woman in a movie - vowing never to play such a "lame" character. Director Joss Whedon is rumored to be putting together a cast for an upcoming big screen outing for the superhero Amazon.

Fox is reportedly in the running to play the lead role, but the Transformers 2 star is adamant she will not get involved with the comic book adaptation.

She tells British magazine FHM, "She's lame. She flies around in an invisible jet, but she's not invisible. I don't get it."

No Megan you don't get it, and we don't get YOU! Nor do we want you when there are hundreds of women who actually care about the role.

	Yea I like WW also but the invisible plane didnt work for either...remeber Linda Carters WW she flew around in the jet it was invisible but she wasnt. Thats kinda funny WW doesnt really need the jet she flies now she's a match for Superman almost the same power level along with Captain Marvel... alot of her powers are magically based and she's the perfection of womanhood maybe Ms.Fox missed all that. 	Ms.Fox probally hasnt realized how these movies put actors on a GLOBAL Map ITS ALMOST LIKE POSING FOR Playboy. Look at Hugh Jackman,anyone who's played Batman or Superman,people still remeber Linda Carter,Bill Bixby,Big LOU AND list goes on some of these characters didnt even make it to the big screen. 	I'd love to HEX Fox! Btch! Like I said- it figures she gets playing a whore. Small minds, think small. Wonder Woman always had the ability to fly in the comics, just for one reason or another they never had her fly in the TV show w/Lynda Carter. And Wonder Woman was always a match for Superman. Wonder Womans powers were bestowed upon her by the Greek goddesses & one god. Wonder Woman has vehicles of every type at her disposal- the only element they have in common is that they are INVISIBLE. All these wheeled, flying, or submerging vehicles are different aspects of the same miraculous machine. The super advanced technology came from an alien world and is capable of transforming into any vehicle Wonder Woman wishes for, whether she chooses to travel in an invisible jet, a deep-sea submersible, wonder-cylce or a horse drawn battle chariot. Mostly she used the invisible jet when she traveled in groups per the comics but again not on the tv. Yea, it looked cheesy a bit but again, we're not supposed to "see" her is the idea. Only we do cuz we're watching the show. LOL.. With todays FX I'm sure they could do something more realistic and plausible. 	If it were me, I would abandon the whole invisible jet thing. It does create too many questions of plausibility that may cause a rational noncomic viewing fan to be unable to suspend disbelief. I'll give you that. But for Fox to discredit the WW character on that alone is just plain foolhearty. She is in essence the female antithesis of Superman. Respectable actors from over the globe that have any hope of playing him would be champing at the bit for a chance if they new the character was getting respectable treatment. The same attitude should be equal for Wonder Woman. But the likes of Jessica Biel and Fox laugh it off as childish or absurd. I just don't get that. I don't wish her to play characters that die in all the films she's in. That is too laughable. I think poetic justice would be being type-casted as whore or fluzzie for the next ten years would be idealic. 	Uff, "lame". That is too much. Mrs. Fox hasn't read much of Wonder Woman. I thought she (WW) was a peace ambassador and a diplomatic. Can any better purpose be possible? She has a power leveled with Superman, that is something worth to consider. She may not be as smart and intelligent as Batman, but she still has Athena's wisdom, so she is not a stupid girl, although we could discuss if that wisdom comes from her work or it doesn't have so much worth because it is a god's gift. How can a character who reunites these qualities be lame? Anyway, she has fallen into the stereotype. Of course she can have an opinion, but an opinion (to me) is valid only when it comes from knowledge. I'd like to hear her reasons to say that statement, and discuss them too. However, I fear she doesn't have any, or that she is forced to say it because she has to maintain that cocky appearence of hers, just like Miley Cyrus in "El Hormiguero". And personnally, why is an imperfect character better (or more interesting) than a "marysue" character? Is it because they are too predictable? I am sure there are ways to fix that problem. With a good script all is solved. The invisible jet can be on comics and there is no problem with that, but I wouldn't portray it on film. The lansarinian technology is simply too much stuff for a film. Does anyone know if the invisible jet origin is the same in both pre-crisis and post-crisis stories? 	Yes, lansarian technology may be more advanced, but if the film tells the origin of Wonder Woman, the invisible plane has no room there, I think it wasn't until issue #115 more or less when it appeared; at least in post-Crisis. Gadgets for Wonder Woman? she isn't a spy, and she has powers, so she does not need them. Moreover, Batman has more gadgets; though they may not be as advanced as Wonder Woman's, they are more practical, and he makes better use of them. 	I'm sorry.. what makes Batman smarter? I havent seen evidence of it where he has bested Wonder Woman. HE goes to HER to learn MMA technics and styles of the Amazons and sparrs with HER like Superman does since no one else is a match for them. If you read in the comics she would use her invisible jet to transport others in the group she was with if they could not fly. Whether it be a jet, submarine etc..etc.. Batman has practical uses but I would say if she traveled with others, who can't fly, a jet would be practicle too instead of getting on American Airlines or Delta to go to South America or something. Wonder Woman cannot breath underwater so having a submarine at her command is both practicle and smart. She is independent and doesnt need help from anyone to do what she gotta do. Nothing to do with being a spy or having "gadgets" to make her "look" smart because she is smart. The technology also extends too in outer space if she is orbiting earth and is running out of air it will recyle what she has so she can survive. I say that is smart AND practicle. How would Batman "make better use of them" ? Your sugestion that Batman is better and "smarter" doesnt seem well founded, IMO. 	Jeje, ya sabía que lo de Batman iba a traer polémica. I say that Batman is smarter not as unanswarable truth, neither as a fact, but as an observations list. Ussually, he was the brain behind the justice league, and that implies great knowledge of their foes, strategy to outmatch them (and powerful foes indeed)... That doesn't mean he is the only one who thinks: for example, in JLA #50, when he was voted out of the league (the Tower of Babel story arc)by Wonder Woman, Plastic Man, Aquaman and Superman, it happens that the last plan to beat Dr. Destiny was Wonder Woman's idea, and later Batman recognizes it was a good plan, but also notes down its weak points: I can see there a valious quality: he doesn't fool himself, he doesn't think that his plan is the best only because it's his plan. Also, he had a contingency plan for every JL member in case they went rogue: Ra's Al Ghul stole that plans and used them, that was the expulsion reason. But the fact is that Superman asked him to return. Besides, he is the world's greatest detective, Superman said he was the most dangereous man of Earth... usually that comes from a smart and brilliant mind. Those are my arguments to say that Batman is smart. But we were discusing why (or not) is smarter than Wonder Woman. I have two "reasons" (it goes between quotation marks because I'm sure there are counterexamples, so they are not infallible): 1- It is easier to catch Wonder Woman off guard than Batman. I see that Wonder Woman is wise, she is is a warrior born, but she lives in the moment. Batman is five steps ahead anyone, he has learned to be a strategist. Even when he is captured, he has a plan. To me, strategy is the mind's greatest challenge. Wonder Woman not always, but at this moment I don't recall every situation we are speaking about and I can be wrong. 2-I have seen at least once that Wonder Woman doubts of her existence, in other words if she's "real", because she was made instead of borned. Doesn't the same thought go to her wisdom? It was Athena's gift, and Batman learned everything by himself. I have met people who think that knowledge and experience is more valuable if it is learned than if it is given. In addition, let's say that Wonder Woman wisdom outmatches Batman's. Moreover, let's say she has infinite wisdom. But to be smart there are many areas of intelligence, and each one rests on the others. So, even if Batman's mind had lesser mind average level, his standard deviation is much bigger, which means his knowledge "areas" work better between them, because they are not concentrated, and so obtaining better performance. On the other side, how can Batman compete with alien technology? That is indeed an unanswerable truth, it is more advanced than anything Batman can create. I only say that if Batman had it, he would do much more incredible things. Test tubes for example, there you can experiment thousands of chemical reactions, but with the jet you can only transport people. Batman has also submarines, planes and more paraphernalia, but they can't be concentrated as the invisible plane, it is a drawback and I admit it. Omac was Batman's design, and he was he who defeated him. And flying with American Airlines is not that bad, I hope :) Now that I remember, Wonder Woman took a commercial flight once when she went to Greece and firt met Circe after Crisis on infinite Earths. Other observation: when batman doesn't know something, he knows who knows it, and he has his telephone number. Practical knowledge indeed LOL. Those are my observations, but I am no philosopher, neither a logic master, and if anyone can refute them I will be happy to discuss it. But always friendly, I don't want to offend anyone. I cant recall every episode either nor the # but you mention that Wonder Woman is caught easier than Batman and for that he is smarter? Or is that he is more alert, more cynical and jaded than Wonder Woman? He trusts no one, not even another memeber of the JLA! Basically he is paranoid, that's why he doesnt get caught as easily. Remember she is the ambassador of peace and goodwill and so thinks differently because she is light and he is darkness. Ella es mas sana pero no tonta. She is good and believes the good in man and so maybe it makes her more naive but certainly nobody's fool. Batman is longer at the game than she is and so less trusting, a pessimist. He just waits for the bad that he knows is coming. Wonder Woman does get caught but then... so does Batman. 2.) Everyone doubts themselves. Even Batman. Isnt that why he was hesitant in taking Robin under his wing? Didnt he doubt himself when he felt himself have feelings with Selena? Isnt he torn with wanting to stop being Batman but cant. Does that also take into account that he is questioning his intelligence too? Wonder Woman may have questioned herself because she was made and not born, but because Athena gifted her with wisdom it didnt mean she was molded knowing everything. She wasnt given a cpu and a micro chip in place of a brain. She doesnt have AI. She had to learn everything herself too. What she did with that knowledge and how she applied it is where the wisdom kicks in. Batman got a headstart but she'll catch up. You use the word "deviation". One of the definitions of it is: "noticeable or marked departure from accepted norms of behavior".. Batman is considered to be like the JOker. He is a sociopath. He has darker tendencies. People who are considered to be psychopaths or sociopaths generally suffer from antisocial personality disorder. This is a psychiatric condition characterized by chronic behavior that manipulates, exploits or violates the rights of others. This behavior is often criminal. Wonder WOman doesnt have criminal tendencies or suffers from any kind of disorders. Batman can decompartmentalise better ok. Will it give him better performance, perhaps. But then he was given this "gift" when the Joker murdered his family in front of him because that is when it all began, when his mind broke. Would he be so controlled and strategic if all that didnt happen? It was a chain of event. The Joker made him what he is. The only thing stopping him from being one of the criminals himself is revenge to get the Joker & criminals like him from hurting someone else. His darkness is his area of expertise. His being able to think like a villian in order to catch one. Wonder Woman may use different tactics but she gets the villian too. "Other observation: when batman doesn't know something, he knows who knows it, and he has his telephone number. Practical knowledge indeed LOL." Batman assaults individuals in his pursuit of information related to criminal activities. He uses his body and weapons to subdue or incapacitate his targets. Wonder WOman uses her golden lasso and doesnt leave evidence of an "interrogation". Fast, clean and effective. Or as you would say practicle. You believe that Batman would do greater things with the lansarian technology than WOnder WOman has or could do? Transporting was only an example of what good and practicle uses she has it for. It is implied by her wisdom that if the occasion called for it Wonder Woman could also do experiments if she so wished it. The thing is Wonder Woman can do anything. And The Ring will do it too- morphs into anything she wishes. But it is irrelavant and only speculation on our part about that because depending on who writes the next script or comic would we be able to know WHO (Wonder Woman!) would get more use out of it. I see where you say he may be smarter... his strong points. Different areas or levels of intelligence. But I see where his greatest assest proved to be his undoing- explusion from the JLA. In some ways he may be very intelligent indeed. The worlds greatest detective. But Wonder Woman is very smart too. Just does things differently. It doesnt make one more right than the other or smarter. Different styles, different technics, different way of doing things what it all comes down to. 	Yes, I have read Hiketeia too, and honestly, I didn't see Batman there. In that comic he was so obsessed to catch the criminal that he didn't think for a moment the strategy or the method. Everything what makes Batman... Batman wasn't there, apart of the obsession. On the other side, Wonder Woman is not invulnerable, we know there are ways to neutralize her without killing her. And himself pledging hiketeia to wonder woman... I flew into rage when I saw it: where has gone his pride? It is a perfect example of what I call :"main character power", it means the main character always surpases anyone. In his series, Batman fights Superman and wins, even without Kryptonite; but he goes to the squirrel girl series and loses without any doubt, although everybody knows he's better. In Hiketeia all could have been solved if Wonder Woman explained to Batman: "if you take the girl, then there will come three mad and ugly witches and kill me" and with that drop of information Batman thinks a new and better plan. Then Batman forces the girl to release Wonder Woman and in exchange, they take her to a minimun security prison. Simple and effective, but happy people don't have a story (Fyodor Dostoyevsky), and without story there can't be a comic. He who killed Batman's parents was Joe Chill, a common burglar. I don't know why Tim Burton featured Joker as the assasin when he did the film, I was wrong many years until I read the first Batman comic. That was the critical point, the trigger who made Batman, but the potential was there. He has doubts as any other, but I have never see him doubting of his mind or his knowledge. If he has chosen the right path, the right course of action, if there isn't a better plan yes, if what he sees is real and not an illusion yes, but not his mind: it is the only thing you can't doubt, thanks to Descartes. When I say "deviation", i reffer to "standard deviation" as a whole concept, not separate. It is a measure to express how far data is to the average level in statistics. But you have a point: Batman is a bit mad... and we like him that way! :) He is cautious but not paranoid. A man has to hope for the best in others, but also be prepared for the worst, just in case. Also between cautious and paranoid there is little room, but I don't see him as Trepid in The mighty Magnor, who says: "it is irrefutable that the whle universe conspires against me, and conspirators mantain theis plans undercover. By now, I haven't discovereded any, it's a substantial evidence of its existence!" I don't know for sure if Batman has invented all his gadgets, but if he has, then he has an edge in the discussion. Anyway, I like Wonder Woman and the amzons as peace ambassadors, each one has a part: Batman is the boogeyman (hombre del saco, I don't know if it is correctly written) and they are the shiny happy people who teach you some manners but can give you a good hiding. However, I agree with you on the part about the 3 fates. I think they wanted to add to the lore of the Greek myths. It's how I took it. So no, he doesnt have the edge, he recognizes the potential use of these inventions but he did not THINK of them himself (maybe some but not all). Still, cant beat the lansarians technology no matter how much he pays for his gadgets. He does doubts his mind. He is conflicted between fighting crime and having a "normal" life. He confessed as much I think was to Selena when he says they can be together. He is torn if not he wouldnt try to discourage RObin from joining him. Its something else he worries about. Even in Matt Wagner's Trinity, although it is dedicated to the three of them, in the first issue there is some Superman's character predominance. Batman's in the second and Wonder Woman in the third one. But it was a good history in the end, and although Batman was all the brain along the three issues,Wonder Woman managed to track the batcave and Superman had the idea of the receiver-transmitter to locate Bizarro. Some time ago, they have appeared in a videogame series, which is Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War. 	The music is absolutely epic, and has catched very well the W40k essence, but between Wonder Woman and Warhammer there is a basic difference, and it is the gods role: warhammer has a lovecraft touch where the gods are a bunch of bloodthirsty bast** and humanity has to defend itself from everyone at once, and in Wonder Woman the gods (except Ares) are basically good people; for example, from: "Imperial Guardsmen, you are the last line of defence against the alien hordes that threaten our Imperium. Each one of you brave warriors is part of a vast fighting force that will be called upon to serve in the eternal war. You will fight on countless battlefields on a thousands worlds across the galaxy. And, whether you fight in our great crusading armies or serve with the smallest garrison, you must be proud to sacrifice your life to save Humanity from its enemies." to...
