30 Days of Night: Dark Days Casting News

Mia Kirshner, Rhys Coiro, Harold Perrineau ,Diora Baird and Monique Ganderton have officially been cast in the sequel!
According to shocktilyoudrop.com,Mia Kirshner, Rhys Coiro, Harold Perrineau (Lost), Diora Baird (Night of the Demons) and Monique Ganderton are joining the cast of 30 Days of Night: Dark Days, the sequel to 2007's 30 Days of Night.

Kirshner (The L Word) is reportedly set to play the vampire known as Lilith. Coiro (soon to be seen in the Straw Dogs remake) is taking a leading role. It still unknown who is locked for the role of Stella, previously played by Melissa George.

Ben Ketai is directing this sequel and is working from a script by Steve Niles. The story follows a lonely and desperate woman (Stella) who joins a group of rogue vampire hunters to seek revenge on the bloodsuckers responsible for an attack on her tiny Alaska town.

A SEQUEL TO 30 DAYS COULD BE AWESOME IF THEY GET THE "ORIGINAL STELLA" SHE WAS SOOOOOOOOO MUCH BETTER THAN HARTNETT LOL....I LOVE "NIGHT OF THE DEMONS"! I OWN ALL 3 LOL

I'm on the fence about this one. I liked the first, but not sure a second is a good idea.

Oh, and i have a thought about the Dragonball vids. I am by no means taking a side here, but if you don't like them don't watch them? I'm just thinking out loud.

Yeah, not sure this is a good idea. I enjoyed the first film and all, but don't think a second movie is necessary.

i missed something. But he was here - I'm not crazy d@mmit. And his dragonball vid was so lame. Who plays those games even? they look horrendous - the cartoon was lame - and the game looks like cr@p.

New director, and C-list actors in a sequel to a good first movie? this is either gonna be direct-to-DVD and suck, or be released theatrically and suck.

Those aren't ALL C-List actors my little Mario friend.

I don't think this will be direct to DVD. Vampire movies are too big right now.

So if you hate replacements then are you gonna start throwing your semen at the theater screen when Rhodey walks on screen and for some reason he's about 4 shades blacker than before?

@Keven, I didn't start throwing my semen during TDK, when I saw Gyllenhall, and I'm sure I wont, when I see Cheadle as Rhodey. It's not an enormous problem, but actor replacement has always been a thorn in my side. Even as a kid I hated it. I remember seeing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 as a child, and wondering, "Who's that new chick playing April?", it was a small annoyance throughout the movie, but an annoyance none the less.

@ kev, I only throw semen in clinics, where they pay me. I hated it when thye pulled it in the new mummy movie with the wife, which is sad that I admitted to even seeing that. IM 2 will be up in the air, I'm not a huge Don Cheadle fan.By that I mean hell ya I'll see it b/c it'll be awesome, I might just walk out thinking "wtf was that guy doing in it?"
