Lots of things. Specifically just how awful the film was. Wolverine being the mutant to be sent back in time. That thus made it another Wolverine-centric film and it really bugged me. Then how Fox used DOFP as their way to try and cop-out of the problems they caused in their half-assed "Cinematic Universe" really pissed me off. And the continuity errors, like Trask changing from a middle-aged african american male (Last Stand) to a short caucasian midget. And then other stuff was just cringe worthy, like the scene in the elevator when Quicksilver said "So you can do stuff with metal....my mom knew a guy who could do that..." It was one of those scenarios where I wanted to shout with all my heart, "PISS OR GET OFF THE POT!" So I was not a fan of Days of Future Past, and I think it's a god awful film.

And lets not even mention the logic Mystique had in act three when it came to killing Trask. Her friends were slaughtered and she wanted revenge, I get THAT part. I DON'T understand how after she was told that her actions would cause the extinction of every single mutant ever she STILL wanted to go through with her initial plan. It's like her head was filled with cement.

The way Bolivar Trask was set up in Last Stand was as THE Bolivar Trask. I mean IF (and I mean IF) the Trask in Last Stand was supposed to be the adopted son of Trask in Days of Future Past, Fox did horrible job setting that up.

but i get what you are saying.
that's the problem with adaptations. too many people in the film industry try to put their spin on characters/stories that have already been established. sometimes a small deviation from the source can ruin the adaptation. hence the problem fox got into in the last stand.

that is also one of the reasons i am a fan of the MCU, for whatever little or major change they make to a character/story, they are able to make it work, and not just for that one film, but for the whole universe they have created and it works pretty well for the most part.

also, how do you think fox is going to move fwd after X-Men: Apocalypse, since they have stated that the film is meant to be the conclusion of the first class trilogy? and will they make it work?

I was tempted to simply say "because it sucks" in an effort to spare myself of becoming enraged, but I decided to throw caution to the wind.

Well I know Fox has said they'd like to do a film based around the X-Force, but I honestly would not be surprised if they end up scrapping that whole idea. I mean they've got X-Men: Apocalypse, Deadpool, Gambit and the much anticipated (sarcasm) Fantastic Four movie(s) coming up soon. I honestly think that after those films are finished and all is said and done, they might either sell the rights or just lock them away in a closet and let them accumulate dust.

I agree on that last point. Marvel honestly wouldn't be able to do anything with the X-Men or Fantastic Four at LEAST until early 2022. And by then the world could have blown up, so who knows what may happen at this stage in the game.

I know on usual threads I'd get decapitated if I said this, but I honestly think the genre that is CBM's is going to burn out real soon. See a lot of people try to say that CBM's as a whole can fit into any genre of film, but I highly disagree. Every CBM has the same formula: person with great powers and abilities has to stop someone/something with great powers and abilities from doing an act that could harm others. Same plot for Iron Man, same plot for Batman Begins, same plot for X-Men. After awhile the movie going public is going to get bored with the same formula. Thats why films about alien invasions don't do as well as they used to, or films about a zombie apocalypse aren't doing as well as they used to. Everything has an end, it's just a matter of time before CBM's meet their's.

They stand a better chance at existing a little longer than say an Iron Man 6.
