Warner Bros. next comic book adaptation slated to hit theaters is Jonah Hex, starring Josh Brolin, John Malkovich and Megan Fox. Brolin an Fox were recently interviewed by Entertainment Tonight, where they talked briefly about the film's high-paced action:

"I love fight scenes, I love stunts. That's when I'm most comfortable. I want to get in there and do it 100 percent," said Fox, who plays the seductress Leila in the film. "I don't want to use stunt doubles. I want to brawl."

Brolin seemed surprised by Fox's enthusiasm for stunt work, "Megan, I got nervous. ... She put herself out there, I think more than anyone."

Jonah Hex

In Theatres Friday, June 18

Jonah Hex (Josh Brolin) is a scarred drifter and bounty hunter of last resort, a stoic, battle-hardened gunslinger who can track down anyone…and anything. Having survived death, Jonah’s violent history is steeped in myth and legend, and has left him with one foot in the natural world and one on the “other side.” A man fated to wander alone, his sole human connection is with Lilah (Megan Fox), whose life in a brothel has left her with scars of her own.

Jonah’s past is about to catch up with him when the U.S. military makes him an offer he can’t refuse: in exchange for freedom from the warrants on his head, he must track down and stop the sinister terrorist Quentin Turnbull (John Malkovich), the man who killed Hex’s family and mutilated his face with a branding iron. Turnbull, who is gathering an army and preparing to unleash Hell, is also Jonah’s oldest enemy and will stop at nothing until Jonah is dead.

Based on the legendary character from the comic book series from DC Comics, “Jonah Hex” is an epic action adventure about one man’s personal quest for redemption against the canvas of the battle between good and evil.

The film stars Academy Award® nominee Josh Brolin (“Milk,” “No Country For Old Men”), two-time Academy Award® nominee John Malkovich (“In the Line of Fire,” “Places in the Heart”), Megan Fox (“Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen”), Michael Fassbender (“Inglourious Basterds”), Will Arnett (“Blades of Glory”) and Academy Award® nominee Michael Shannon (“Revolutionary Road.”).

Warner Bros. Pictures presents in association with Legendary Pictures a Mad Chance/Weed Road Production, “Jonah Hex.” Jimmy Hayward directed the film, marking his live-action directorial debut. The screenplay is by Neveldine & Taylor from a story by William Farmer and Neveldine & Taylor, based on comic books written by John Albano, illustrated by Tony DeZuniga and published by DC Comics. The film is produced by Academy Award® winner Akiva Goldsman (“A Beautiful Mind”) and Andrew Lazar (“Get Smart”). Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni, William Fay, Matt LeBlanc, John Goldstone and Ravi Mehta served as executive producers, with Richard Middleton, Miri Yoon and Margot Lulick co-producing.

The behind-the-scenes team is led by director of photography Mitchell Amundsen (“Transformers”), production designer Tom Meyer (“Orphan”), editors Fernando Villena (“Gamer”) and Tom Lewis (“Old Dogs”) and costume designer Michael Wilkinson (“Watchmen”). The music is by two-time Oscar® nominated composer Marco Beltrami (“The Hurt Locker,” “3:10 to Yuma”) with rock artists Mastodon.

“Jonah Hex” will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company. The film has been rated PG-13 for intense sequences of violence and action, disturbing images and sexual content.

I can't wait to see this. They filmed a few of the scenes right down the road from my house. The train looked awesome.

Looks alright, Megan is looking fine

But why arent you guys more pissed off, in the movie Jonah seems to be magic or something, bringing dead guys back to life? I dont think he was like this in the comics, can anybody tell me, Im not the biggest fan of the Jonah Hex comics? I thought you guys would be pissed off that they are changing the character so much

The forth picture of Megan Fox looks actually good and healthy.

By the way, any of you guys find it a little bizarre than Megan's getting run out of Hollywood for one stunt, yet Miley Cyrus is doing all these crazy things? Badmouthing Radiohead for not talking to her at the Grammy's, doing some racist caricature of Chinese people, and giving lap dances to 44-year-old men when she was 16 YEARS F'ING OLD?! Combined that with the fact that her last two movies bombed with audiences, as well as poor sales of her latest album (unless someone can prove me different, but I just haven't heard alot of buzz), and you'd think she'd be out of the spotlight.

Transformers 3 is gonna bomb, and Megan won't take any shrapnel. Funny that the second film was met with cold reception, and everyone's ganging up on her because this film made her career? I thought Michael Bay was the worst director in history.

Off topic, could Megan please pick better scripts? Maybe an indie film could take a little heat off.

RoadDogXXIV-- Jennifer's body was not bad.

I used to be crunk about this movie because I am a fan of Jonah. But the more I see, the less enthused I am. If it turns out good, I'll be surprised.

If it gets good reviews, I'll give it a shot.

"I want to brawl." Haha, love that.

Fox is from Tennessee so maybe that's where her accent is based from.

the tone seems all wrong. jonah hex should be more like the clint eastwood characters. tough and not much for the talky talky. hes not a big one liner guy with over the top weapon or action. i fear for this movie. hope im wrong cause i really like the character.

I agree with Superdog...most of the tv spots I seen are only showing off the Megan Fox character and not Hex...this is a total misstep for the character

I still have absolutely no interest in this movie. DC won't or can't do the Flash and Wonder Woman, two of their flagship characters, but we get this bullshit instead? I'm sorry, but Jonah Hex is lame. A scarred cowboy? Yeah. That sounds epic. Way to go Warner Bros.

matches@ i disagree, jonah hex is not lame. hes a great character that could make a great movie, i just dont think this one will be it. i will agree with you that they should make the bigger characters too. but im ok with the smaller ones getting movies as well.

@superdog-I mean, I know he has a fanbase. I just personally don't get the appeal. It just sounds like typical western revenge fare to me. Maybe there is something I'm missing here, but nothing about this character really stands out to me. Is there any comics that I should read that'll make him pop for me. Please enlighten? Your input is appreciated. :)

the whole look of it feels wrong. it has a Dragonball evolution looking title, and it seems to be a mixture of Constantine and every bad spaghetti western ever made. this film had so much potential and could have been a dark gritty western, like Unforgiven or the Recent 3:10 to Yuma...*sigh* stupid WB, they don't get how some characters work

Well luckily DC is creating more well known Hero's e.g. Flash, Green-lantern and Possibly Superman. There is a reason why little Joe Cartwright is no longer on air....That train left a long time ago. 3:10 to the land of misfit comic books!

@ Betty

Well, I'm not a fan of Diablo Cody's overuse of puns. Thrown into the hands of an incompetent director like Karyn Kasuma, the film was a disaster. But Megan Fox did play a mean girl to a T.

again, my opinion is kinda negative so far. although it may change when i see it.

like the guy from the movie 'Grandmas Boy' says "sh*t looks wizeeek"....lol

I admit, I don't have a rooting interest in Jonah Hex, this looks like 'Wild Wild West' part 2 to me. I'm good with DC doing the lower tier characters, I would've preferred them doing 'The Main Man' Lobo, though! I like the Jonah Hex feel in the comics, this just doesn't look like it'll translate here, two-face in tdk looked more like jonah than this jonah....lol
