The Walking Dead Comic Con Trailer

The Walking Dead Comic Con Trailer

Here's a much better video of The Walking Dead TV series footage that was shown exclusively at this year's San Diego Comic. This show will undoubtedly raise the bar for future "zombie apocalypse" franchises

The Walking Dead premieres this October on AMC; it is based on the Eisner Award winning comic series by Robert Kirkman. The story chronicles the travels of Rick Grimes, a small-town police officer from Cynthiana, Kentucky, his family, and a number of other survivors who have banded together in order to survive after the world is overrun with zombies. As the series progresses, the characters become more developed, and their personalities shift under the stress of a zombie apocalypse; most notably Rick's.

While we are still waiting for the official footage to be released by AMC, here's a better video taken by a Con attendee of the series footage that many considered to be one of the highlights of the convention. The series pilot's director, Frank Derabont, stated at the panel that the 'footage shown was toned down for Comic Con, since it is considered a family convention. The series will have plenty of gore to satisfy hardcore zombie fans.'

The Walking Dead stars Andrew Lincoln as Rick Grimes, Sarah Wayne Callies as Lori, Chandler Riggs as Carl Grimes, Jon Bernthal as Shane Walsh, Steven Yeun as Glenn, Laurie Holden as Andrea, Iron E Singleton as T-Dog, and Jeffrey DeMunn as Dale.

I'ts weird, I'm definetely excited about this show, but there are some parts in the trailer which look "cheap", the first scene chasing the car (specially when the cops talk to each other) look terribly acted.

I like the make up on the zombies and that scene at the end where he hops in the tank has got my anticipation building , it looks promising .

Somebody help me out and tell me how to post my picture up for my avatar please , I've got to do it from my mobile phone .

Also , thanks to every one for breaking down a lot of the comic-con events for those of us who couldn't make it . I really need to get myself in gear so I can attend next year .

Wow! Wow! Wow! I love this trailer!! Using my all time favourite 60s tune, the classic The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore by the Walker Brothers, that is way, way brilliant! It gives me goose bumps looking at the scenes and listening to the song! Can't wait for this series to start!

The trailer looked ten times better in it's full screen high def majesty live at Comic Con. A girl I met there literally had tears in her eyes. Granted, the fan mania of the crowd probably contributed to that - but this looks really [frick]ing good to me! Definitely better than I expected (and my hopes were high).

I got a bunch of fan reactions on tape, and some great bits from writer/creator Robert Kirkman. Check it out on my podcast - http://feeds.feedburner.com/WalkingDeadcast. Yes, this is a plug. Try it, you'll like it.

Looks good. However, it's based on a "Comic Book" not a "Graphic Novel". Yes, there is a difference.
